We here all went to see it last night. If I'm going to be honest, I have to say I'm disappointed.
Now, don't get me wrong, it's a good movie in and of itself. But, in my opinion, there was too much left out and they rushed it waaaaaaay too much. I know, it was a huge book and they were having to condense it into a couple hours (though I find it weird that the longest book is the shortest movie), but there was important stuff left out that it wouldn't have been that hard to put in, even with the current running time.
But, nonetheless, like I said, it was a good movie in it's own right. But, imho, the weakest movie of the series so far.

I meant it mostly for comparison. I haven't checked the page counts (because I'm lazy xd )... the main point was mostly that, while the first two movies were much closer to the books, they were also shorter books and longer movies. So, the argument can be made that it was easier to keep closer to the book on those (less info into a longer space, etc). But still... Movie 5 just felt rushed to me.

Well I havn't read the book though. So just from seeing the movie, I liked it. I can see what Phaedra means that it w as a bit rushed and left out some points, since they introduced a few poeple that seemed they would have mentioned at least about how they're significant to the plot and whatnot. That did confuse me a bit.

it's because that head-in-the-a** director didn't read the books xp he admitted he hadn't ever picked one up until he was asked to direct it. sometimes i wonder if he does more than skim O.o

I saw it 3nodding For a nearly 3 hour long movie, it didn't really have much in it o.o I think about a fourth of that movie was spinning news papers o.o lol As a movie, if no book had ever been written, and it was based on nothing, it'd have been about a 7/10. I did LIKE it, it's just...well really nothing like the book xd lol
