This book was crafted by Raiden, and Kold threw it at the monster who attacked Kyla when the creature returned. After the creature touched the book, one of its memories was preserved inside the pages, along with it's name in big red letters across the cover: OUTH

The following poem can be found on the first page:

My death shall bring forth the life of my children,
pieces of my soul all.
Aeroth descends from the sky, followed by Kuu
whose waters will wash clean your soul from your body.
Twiia creeps out of green jungles while
Saan waits below in earthly grave.
Kull’s wrath will burn for me
Negan’s darkness will devour for me.
Next comes Zen, in holy balance
whose trials you will not escape.
And if my children must kneel,
they shall do so to raise me,
and together we will take
the blue eyed knight and rest
at long last.

This book is now available for anyone from the Lunar Hope to access. Whoever reads this book is pulled inside and is allowed to view the memories inside as though they themselves were there. However, nothing they do will change anything, since the images are only a memory (Think of the Pensive from Harry Potter).

Book of OUTH, part 1

A young man hurries through the streets of an ancient kingdom, which appears to be in the same place where the Lunar Hope now stands. The young man ducks into an alley and gazes out at a nearby shop. There is a glint in his eye.
User Image
Heh heh heh! That greedy jerk will never know what hit him. He's about to face the crimson shadow....Outh!

Book of OUTH, part 2, Chapter of Aeroth:

User Image

Outh waits in the alley until someone enters the shop. Just as the door is about to close, Outh dashes over to the doorway, and slips his golden blade into the doorway, just enough to keep the door from shutting. He then slips in and hides behind a large jewelry case.
While the shopkeeper and the customer chat. Outh peeks over the case he's hiding behind, and spies a beautiful golden locket under the glass. He picks the lock on the case easily, and slides his hand under the glass panel, pulling out the locket.
Suddenly, the shopkeeper grabs his arm, and knocks Outh's gold sword away.
The shopkeeper growls, "Stealing huh? Instead of throwing you in a cell, how about I take your arm?!
The shopkeeper raises a rusty dagger high in the air, and prepares to slash Outh's wrist off.
Just as he is about to strike, a young woman rushes forward and catches the shopkeeper's arm.

User Image
"NO! SIR PLEASE YOU CAN'T!!!

Book of OUTH, part 3, Chapter of Kuu:

User Image

The shopkeeper snarls at the girl, "And why the hell shouldn't I cut off the arm of a theif? What buisness is it of yours anyway!"

User Image
The young woman looks up at the shopkeeper with begging eyes.
"No sir! Please! You misunderstand. This young man is...my brother! Honest! I asked him to come here and pick up the locket for me but...er...he left before I had the chance to tell him I hadn't paid yet.

Both Outh and the Shopkeeper share the same look of complete disbelief in the girl's story.

User Image
"No really!"
The girl releases the shopkeeper's arm just long enough to pull several peices of gold out of a pouch on her hip.
"Here's your payment! See?"

The shopkeeper glowers at Outh, still thirsting to sever a limb, but when he eyes the gold, he finally lowers the dagger. The gold, he notices, is double the ammount of the locket, but he decides not to argue. He snatches the gold greedily from the girl.

"Y'know...I really don't believe a word of that lameass story...I dunno what this runt is to you...and I don't care so long as I get paid."
The shopkeeper returns to his counter where he begins to examine his payment, shooting Outh and the girl suspicious looks."

User Image
Outh gives the girl a bewildered but greatful look.
I...uh...thank you?"

User Image
The girl grins at Outh and grabs him by the hand.
"C'mon let's go!"

Outh has just enough time to recover his golden sword before the girl pulls him out of the shop.

Book of OUTH, part 4, Chapter of Twiia:

User Image

User Image
Outh is dragged down the street by his mysterious savior. He's too dumbstruck by recent events to object or even to ask where they're going. Eventually, the girl pulls Outh into an alley way so that they can catch their breath.

User Image
*pant pant* "Whew! That was a close one! I'm glad I got there in time or else you'd be minus one arm. Are you ok?"

User Image
"Er...well...yeah but why? Why did you save me like that? You even paid for this locket. I mean...you're not really my sister are you?"

The girl laughs. Her laugh is not cruel or mocking, rather it is a clear and beautiful sound. She smiles.

User Image
"Hee hee, no! My name is Fayth. I was walking by the shop and I saw you in trouble. I couldn't just let someone get hurt like that...even if they were stealing"
*She notices Outh's worried look when she says this*
"Oh don't worry. That greedy old shopkeeper could afford to loose a locket or two. Besides, most of his stuff is probably stolen anyway. So what's your name anyway?"

User Image
"I'm Outh. It's nice to meet you Fayth. Well...um. I guess you probably have things to do right?"

*Fayth grins at Outh and clasps his hands*
User Image
"You bet I do! And my new friend Outh is comming with me!"

*Before he can object, Fayth pulls Outh out of the alley and drags him off on another adventure. Outh and Fayth spend the entire day together. They visit the marketplace where Fayth makes Outh try on funny hats with her. They travel to the sweeping green oasis just outside of the kingdom where Outh watches as Fayth tries and fails to tame the colorful birds there. Finally, as the sun begins to set, they stop by a large fountain in a corner of the village. They are alone and chatting with each other. Outh takes the pendant he "stole" out of his pocket*

User Image
"Here, you did buy it after all. It wouldn't be right if I kept it."

User Image
*Fayth giggles*
"Well since a theif is giving it to me, I guess I can think of it as a present anyway."

*They both laugh as Outh slips the pendant over Fayth's neck. He pauses for a moment, and they suddenly realize how close they're sitting to each other. Slowly, they lean in and share a kiss. Suddenly, there is the long booming sound of bells, signaling nightfall. Fayth draws back quickly*

User Image
"Oh no! I have to go! I'm sorry! I didn't know it was so late."

User Image
"Meet me here tomorrow"

User Image
"Huh?" redface

User Image
"Meet me here tomorrow. Please. I have to see you again Fayth."
*Outh kisses her again, and Fayth giggles, fending him off as she stands up*

User Image
"Oh ok! Ok! You silly man!" xd

User Image
"Promise?"
*He kisses her again. Fayth laughs as she playfully slips out of his grip again*

User Image
"Yes! Yes! I promise!" xd
*Fayth dashes off and dissapears down a side street, waving back at Outh as she vanishes*

User Image
"Tomorrow."
*Outh says this softly as he makes a little victory gesture. He is so happy he could burst and it shows all over his face. Outh sits down at the edge of the fountain and gazes into the water*

Book of OUTH, part 5, Chapter of Saan:

User Image

User Image
Outh's eyes open slowly. He is lying on a cot in a tiny little room above a cafe. There is no furniture in the room apart from the cot and a chair where Outh's golden sword rests. A voice can be heard shouting from the street as the town crier shouts out an important message.

"All citizens please go to the town square! This is an important announcement regarding the health of Lord Vao! Please proceed quickly. The announcement will be given in ten minutes! All citizens..."

The crier repeats his message as he passes Outh's window and turns down another street. Outh yawns and gets out of bed. He grabs his sword and heads out the door.

User Image
Outh mutters to himself. "Poor guy. Even though he's always been sick, he still took the throne. It's only been a couple of years and he hasn't married yet. Hope the guy's ok. If he dies...wonder if they've picked anyone to replace him or something."

*Outh walks into the town square along with a very large crowd. The square consists mainly of a large wooden stage, constructed for announcenments and other town events. On the stage are the town crier, and a very powerful, though tired looking man sitting in a wheelchair. The crier signals the crowd to be silent and then bows to the man in the wheelchair, Lord Vao*

User Image
"Good people of Whorl (apparently the name of this ancient kingdom), I am afraid I have sad news. *cough cough* My health is deterirating at a rapid rate. *cough cough* The doctors instructed me not to appear before you today...but I refuse to have such an important issue explained to you all by messenger. *cough cough cough* The truth is, I have mere hours left in this world. The estimate is that I will be dead by midnight tonight. I have left instructions to my advisors about how to decide who should rule Whorl after I am gone. *Cough cough* It has been an honor to have been your lord, and an even greater honor to have you all as my people.

There is a roar of support from the crowd before Vao continues.

"Now there is one final order of buisness. *Cough cough* As you all know, it has long been tradition for the king of Whorl to be burried with his queen so that they may enter the next world together, and never face wandering the afterlife without each other. *Cough cough* As you also all know...I have yet to be married. So, as to keep with tradition, I will be followed into death *cough cough* by the woman whom I intended to be my wife, and your queen. I present to you...Lady Fayth"

User Image
Fayth steps out next to Vao's wheelchair. She is now dressed beautifully, far more elegantly than the day before. There is a great sadness in her eyes, though there is also pride in her appearence. She takes a deep breath before speaking in her pure and elegant voice.
"It will be...an honor to die at the side of Lord Vao. I only wish..."

Fayth sees Outh standing in the crowd. He is wide-eyed and entirely horrified at the situation. His mouth hangs open in complete shock.

"I only wish I could have spent more time with you...um, as your queen...I mean"

User Image
Lord Vao reaches out a hand and touches Fayth's arm gently.
"The honor is entirely mine, my lady."

Book of OUTH, part 6, Chapter of Kull:

User Image

User Image
Many hours after the previous scene, Outh rushes towards the palace, a dark shadow of rage over his face. It is night, and the palace windows gleam with torchlight, while its grounds and high walls remain dark. His golden blade is gripped tightly in his hand. Outh approaches one of the high walls of the palace grounds. He removes his long red scarf and ties one end to his blade. He throws the blade over the high wall, and feels it catch behind two of the large spikes at the top of the wall. Outh climbs over, and leaps down to the grounds easily. Stealthily, Outh rushes across the grounds. Suddenly, Outh is surrounded by a large ring of fire which prevents him from moving on. He holds his blade defensively, waiting. A figure appears, stepping casually through the flames. Slowly, she reveals herself.

User Image
"Good evening, intruder. I'll give you this one chance to surrender and leave the grounds. What say you?"

User Image
Outh spits on the ground and then glares at the knight.
"Do you have any idea what Vao is planning? Because of our stupid tradition, an innocent young woman will never have a chance at life. I can't...I won't allow it. I am going to save Lady Fayth before that happens. You won't stop me."

User Image
The knight looks sympathetic. A pang of sadness, somehow different from Outh's crosses her face for a moment.
"Do not underestimate me, boy. I am Lord Vao's personal guard. I was nothing but a common orphan, and I met Vao when his parents were still alive, and we were only children. He insisted to his parents, that they take me in...I still do not know why. We have grown up together and so, his illness pains me greatly. If...if taking that woman to his grave will give my lord peace, I will not allow anyone to interfere with his happiness. He too, is forced to live a short life. I will allow nothing to destroy the small happiness he finds now."

User Image
Outh lifts his sword to a ready position.
"I bear you no ill will, knight. It seems fate leaves us no option but to fight. So allow me to give you my name. It is only right that you know the name of your killer. My name is Outh."

User Image
The knight lifts her own gold blade, which appears to be a common weapon of this kingdom. She suddenly lunges forward. With a small smile, she says,
"I'm Kayn."

Book of OUTH, part 7, Chapter of Negan:
User Image

User ImageUser Image

Outh and Kayn clash swords. Both fighters are very strong. Despite his age, and despite Kayn's formidible appearance, Outh seems to be equally matched against her.

User Image
Outh grits his teeth.
"I'm running out of time. I have to end this now"

Outh suddenly throws all of his weight behind his blade and charges Kayn. He overpowers the knight, and delivers a feirce slash to her side. It isn't enough to kill her, but it distracts her enough so that the ring of fire vanishes, and Outh begins rushing away from her.

User Image
Kayn turns slowly.

"I had hoped it would not come to this. However, you have proved worthy."

Kayn stretches out her hand. Four long chains with manacles burst from the ground, and grab Outh's arms and legs.

User Image
"What is this?! Let go of me!!!"

The chains pull Outh down, and a coffin suddenly appears under him. Outh falls backwards and is bound in the chains, lying on his back in the coffin. A black and white mask slides down over Outh's face, preventing him from speaking or screaming. The mask is only fitted with eye holes. Kayn stands over Outh and speaks softly to him.

User Image
"You left me no choice, Outh. You will never steal that precious woman from Lord Vao. This is my ultimate technique. It will take your life, but also prevent you from truly dying. Not even in death will I allow you to disrupt Lord Vao's plans.

Heavy iron bells begin to toll...

Book of OUTH, Part 8, Final Chapter, Chapter of Zen
User Image

The town crier's voice rings out, loud and clear above the sound of the tolling iron bells.

"All citizens! Lord Vao has passed on! Lady Fayth has gone with him. May their souls remain together in the sleep of eternity."

User Image
"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! FAAAAAAAAAAAAAYTH!! FAAAAAAAAYTH!!!"

The noises comming from Outh are barely recognizable as human as the lid of the coffin slams shut. Outh can still be heard screaming from inside, as the coffin begins to sink into the earth. When the coffin is several feet below the ground, Outh can no longer be heard. There is a chilling silence as the iron bells halt in their tolling.

User Image
Kayn drops to her knees on the spot where Outh's coffin was moments before. Her breathing is heavy, and she is shaking.

"My Lord Vao...it was worth giving my life with that technique...if it means that you will be content and undisrupted in the afterlife...may my soul find yours...and continue to guard you for all eternity.

Kayn slumps to the ground, dead. The scenery begins to fade to black, and the story ends.
