Anyone 14 and under is known as unable to "give concent," then I think there are little laws where you have to be within a certain number of years for it to be alright, until you're 18.

Well damn, here it's not like that. If you sleep with someone under 18 and you're 18 or older, it's rape, even if they're 17 and turning 18 in a day. Crazy, no?

Karnell Well damn, here it's not like that. If you sleep with someone under 18 and you're 18 or older, it's rape, even if they're 17 and turning 18 in a day. Crazy, no? I remember hearing something like that, but then someone from the law actually came and spoke at our school about rape and "concent" and I believe it's much more complicated then that. Then again, you're Kansas, yes? She was speaking for Missouri.

Well, in the state of Texas, which is where I live, there is no law as far as I know for how old you have to be. As far as statutory goes, however, it''s legal for someone over eighteen to have sex with a minor as long as said minor is not more than two (or it might be three, I''m not sure) years younger than the adult.

You've both obviously given concent in a totally mature, not intoxicated with anything, not intimidated by the other, or whatever else is considered a side road to concent, kind of way.
