i agreed with you in that one post harls.......them pplz were stupidheads....

Darn straight they were. Those half-nude avis, like I mentioned in the thread, are technically soft porn, and no sort of porn should be anywhere on this website. I'm glad they fixed that glitch. And hope anyone who had a half-nude avi accidentally hits the "unequip" button when saving their avis so they lose the glitch.

No it isn't. People are petitioning for naked avis now. At least, so I hear, anyway.

They're trying to petition censors like the words censors they have so people who don't want to see the nudity can "shut it off." I agree; the Gaia staff won't do that; lots of people would be offended, and imagine how it would look to a newcomer if they logged on and every other avi was naked.

We grow up in a very Christian society saying that the human body is something to be ashamed of. We are imperfect and flawed, and only He is perfect, yadda yadda yadda.
everyone here can afford clothing. everyone. we can afford it therefore according to our society's doctrines we must don this clothing and cover up our shameful, flawed, imperfect bodies. Clothing covers up our flawed bodies. in third world countries they cannot afford to don clothing so they simply change their society to ignore it.

I would like to just say that this is utter and complete bull. The human body is NOT something to be ashamed of. We do not don clothing to cover up our "shameful" bodies, because they are NOT shameful! Our bodies are gifts from our father, and we don clothing so that we can respect and honor the gifts that He has given us, not because we are ashamed. In third world countries, they do not ignore it, they simply don't see it as an issue becuase the human body is NOT shameful! Our bodies are not flawed, either. Our bodies were modeled after God's own image, so how can they be flawed. Claiming that the human body is flawed is saying that God is flawed, and we all know that that is not true.

Sorry about this, I just needed a place to vent about this post and topic in general.

somebody's sig in that thread had a drwing of what was supposedly a naked female avatar. Thank goodness he left close to the beginning of the agument haris encountered. I wanted to read that argument without having to look at it.
