Is anyone else here a part of HIM's street team? If you aren't you should b 'cause you get a lot of exclusive info and you get to help promote them

As if they need any more promoting. I refuse to join any major-label street teams, they're nothing more than a marketing tool.

don't you think that there is something such as "too much promoting"? I mean, HIM was very quiet up until Dark Light. then HIM was EVERYWHERE. which, in my opinion, could turn off alot of the fans, thus screwing over HIM in the end. i think they should of just let the music do the publiscizing for them.

thats true. But then again, some people, like me, would not be in this guild right now, if not for the Dark Light Album. Granted yes the street team is alittle much......There was a CSI episode about a street team member getting killed....

Has anyone noticed how little advertising HIM has done for Venus Doom? I mean, I haven't seen any. If I wasn't in this guild, then i probably would never knowed about it. Besides. i think the idea or existence of a street team is pointless, no offense. and thats less of us getting killed. 3nodding

I've been a part of the HIM street team before DarkLight ever came out... I agree that the music does publicize itself.

As far as I know, there's no street teams in my area, otherwise I'd like to join one.
HIM wasn't promoted very much where I live with Dark Light. I saw a commercial on tv for a contest related to the album once, and a couple issues of a free music newspaper had a little ad. Oh! And the first couple days the album was out, they had a little tiny cardboard picture above the album in one cd store. So yeah, they weren't everywhere here.
Maybe the need for street teams depends on the area. Some places the media does enough promoting, other places may have next to zero media help so they can use a street team.
