My hair is fried. Over processed. About to break off. It is also very very ashy, almost grey in color due to hair color gone wrong. to fix it I would have to make it darker, but I dont want to do that My hair is right now cut short about two inches long one inch at most in the back. My question is, should I cut off all the fried peices leaving my hair no longer than a half inch long if that. Or should I dye it some unnatural color., and if so, what color?

Simple darker-medium dye (maybe blue?), peroxide-free... Should work ok for you.

Also try a conditioning balm or just really ******** heavy duty s**t like: +Biolage conditioning balm (leave in hair for 3 minutes or so, no more) +Apple Pectin Deep Moisturizing Treatment for Dry/Damaged Hair (Lamaur Professional Products)
Both are typically only available in professional salons, not beauty shops or supermarkets/grocery stores.
:s i do hope that helps.

But that apple treatment might have some potenial.

My mom sells Aveda products in her salon and they have a product called damage remedy... Dunno if it'll help, but I thought I'd put it out there

If you're gonna dye your hair, do manicpanic cream, as they have little to no harsh chemicals. http://manicpanic.com

AvocadoSpaceLlama~ If you're gonna dye your hair, do manicpanic cream, as they have little to no harsh chemicals. http://manicpanic.com Yeah, but when I used that stuff I had to retouch once a week to keep the color. there's another dye that's mild and lasts a helluva lot longer too. It's called Special Effects and lasts for about 6 weeks. the first three days will be a little over intense (or so, depending on how much you wash it) and it will be perfect for about 2-3 weeks after that depending on hair porosity. orrr... even up to the full 6 weeks. It's mostly alcohol based, but it's awesome.

I am a hair dresser for thoes of you who dont know.
I am not looking for ways to help my hair becasue I know I am past that, nothing will make my hair better. Over proccessed hair is over proccessed hair and nothing will change that no matter what the label says.
Also, all bleach is harsh, thats how it works.
Manic and special effects last the same amount of time, its the different colors that determine how long it will stay. ex purple will stay the longest, red and blue will last the shortest amout of time.
