Located near an oasis in the center of the Wind Country, the Hidden Sand Village is one of the 5 greatest shinobi villages. The Kazekage is the leader of this village. The village mostly looks like a huge city made of sand and stone.
The village is subject to frequent mild sandstorms that most villagers are used to. However, every once in a while a monster sandstorm comes and the villagers have to flee..
The current Kazekage has spent the last few years rebuilding the village to it natural glory. Now with that complete, he is currently focusing his time on rebuilding the village's shinobi ranks
Important Sites in the Village
Kazekage Tower: A huge tower made of sand was created in the center of the desert as the first Sunagakure was destroyed. The First Kazekage himself built this and the new village with a secret jutsu passed down through generations. The tower is so high that it can be seen even from the other villages of the world. At the top is the Kazekages' office and on the lower levels some ANBU squad rooms and ninja lounge areas divided by rank.
Sunagakure Academy: Created to teach new students in the art of the shinobi, this small building can hold up to 10 students in a class.
Tower of Shizoku: A small tower where an altar is placed for those who worship the god slayer of sand. It is also the Sand's official monument for those killed in action, where their names are inscribed on a black marble plaque.
Marketplace: Simple as the name, a place full of merchants selling their goods at low prices. Kunai, shuriken, and simple tools like exploding tags can be can be bought here, as well as weapons. However high-quality weapons and equipment are kept at the Kazekage Tower.
The Desert Surrounding Sunagakure: Although this is strictly not in the village, ninja often come here, either to train, or to collect poison from the wild animals living here. This offers an alternative to buying the expensive foreign imports from Kirigakure.
