Personality: Lucien is a very responsible and laid back student. He's top of the class in school work and fairs well in combat, He loves to joke around and can be quite humorus when he wants to be. He loves to make friends but he also loves to be alone every now and then to read and reflect on the day. All in all Lucien sort of goes with the flow but he knows when to stop following and go off on his own. He

Bio: Lucien was born Amberg, Berlin in Germany. His mother was formerly from Munich, Bayern and his father was a College student who had come over from Fort Wayne, Indianna. Up until the age of 7 he lived in Berlin with his parents but upon turning 8 his father decided after his long stay in Germany that he might return home so the family packed their belongings, sold their house, and immigrated over to America. Lucien new english it was required in his schooling as well as talking to his father. They settled down in his father's hometown so they were close to relatives on his father's side of the family. Lucien's father was half german himself as were many of his relatives so not much was taken from his germanic culture even in America he still felt at home.
When he turned ten years old he discovered his power. It happened rather subtly at first when his parents commented that their son was glowing, he took it as a compliment he didn't actually think he was glowing. Soon light almost seemed to attach itself to the boy. He was always light he could barely sleep from the glow his own body was giving off. So with hours upon hours of no sleep he decided to try and see what this glowing was all about, after all even though they didn't say it he could tell his parents were starting to worry. Months passed by nearly no more sleep than an hour or 2 a night, but he had finally gotten his glowing under control. His skin was no longer luminous and he appeared normal. When his parents inquired about what had happened the boy shrugged and answered, "I've been practicing." with that said he started to explain how he channelled the light through the air and through his body. It naturally came to him and once to him it had nowhere else to go through it dispersed through the pores of his skin. He demonstrated by bringing forth an orb of light slowly to his palm until it stabalized into a pure ball of light. His parents were fascinated by their son's knowledge of his ability and found him truly remarkable. But he had to promise he wouldn't use his abilities out in public or in front of guest, explaining that not everyone would be as excepting as they were. Lucien understood as good as any ten year old would and for 4 years everything went smoothly and not a soul but himself and his parents knew about the boy's awkward talents.
Lucien was fifteen years old when the incident happened. It was the end of his sophmore year and the students who had straight A's all year were taken on a trip to the nearby Amusement park. He was in a group with 3 other people so they had an even number to go on rides, in his group was Nathan Peden, Hunter Cipat, and Kelsey Stearn, his two best friends, and Kelsey the girl he wished would be his girlfriend rather than just his friend. But he'd never openly say that to her or anyone else. The amusement park was large and they only had 6 hours to get their fill of rides and games. Lucien being himself would ride anything, Nathan wouldn't ride anything with too many loops, hunter wanted to play the arcade games, and Kelsey wanted to ride everything. So then when neither Hunter or Nathan would ride the sling shot with Kelsey Lucien was the only remaining choice and of course he couldn't say no, So they strapped themselves in and listened a they counted down for the lift off right as the crowd said "0" sparks flew from the back and the ride shot up into the sky. There was obviously something wrong, below people were screaming, and engineers came rushing down the path. As the ride tilted forward for it's first roll the front of the cage flung open exposing the two friends to the ground below. Both of them clung tightly to the strap that held them in their seats as they flipped backwards spiining wildly as the kinetic energy flung them every which way. A pop filled the air and then the bars holding them in loosened and flew up as the ride took another spin forward, they now dangled from their seats hanging on with all their might. Lucien was on the verge of pulling himself back in when a scream caught his ears, it was growing more distant by the second as he looked down, he saw her. Kelsey was falling and she would die as soon as she hit the ground there was no doubt. It was a split second decision and 10 feet from the ground Kelsey's descent stopped as she floated on soft but solid disk of light. It set her down gently on the ground and dispersed. As Lucien continued to hang on to the cage of the ride, hoping no one had seen but everyone stopped and ooohheed and awwwed at what had just happened. The paramedics lifted the girl up and rushed her off, she was in shock and it was another 15 minutes before they got Lucien down. And even worse news occured as they reviewed the tape from inside the ride. They had it on tape, the light building up in his hand as he sent it down towards Kelsey. He was all over the news, the tape was let out everywhere and the media had field day. He stopped going to school and started up home schooling. Hunter and Nathan woud visit every now and then but Kelsey avoided him all together, not even a thank you card.
A year passed and the media had died down, he had shut himself out of the real world for nearly a year so when he returned to school he was suprised to find out that Hunter had moved and the only one who seemed to still be there was Nathan. It was rocky at frst but soon thay started talking as old friends once again. It was sort of a sore subject but he had to know if he knew where Kelsey had moved to so maybe he could write her. When he asked Nathan was suprised and also taken aback, finding it hard to say. Nathan told him what had happened. That Kelsey had been in the hospital for 5 months after the incident, the shock had sent her into a coma and around the 6th month her brain had nearly shut down there was no hope for recovery, they had done their best, but Kelsey passed away about 4 months before the school year started. Nathan had thought he knew, it was such a sore subject he didn't bring it up when he came to visit. After all he had done she had still died and he didn't even know it, At hearing the news he bit his lip and left school early that day, When he got home he wondered if his parents knew, if they knew this whole time that Kelsey was dead. He'd ask later now no one was home. He walked to his closet and changed into a black suit before leaving the house again. It didn't take much to find it, kelsey's grave, he didn't attend the funeral so he figured he'd say his final goodbyes. When he was finished he placed a rose of light on top of the tombstone and headed home, maybe it was time to move on. He had heard there was places for people like himself and it wasn't a mental institution. Maybe a little time away from home would clear his head, atleast he hoped it would.
