If i am overstepping my bounds by posting this, i appologize in advance but I feel this needs to be said.
I'm an avid RPer. I love it. I know all or most of here do too. However, some people take their love of RP way too seriously, to the piont it eclipses everything, like common decency and courtesy.
Several times I have told people who I thought were friends that I had had a bad day and wasn't feeling so good. Their response? Oh. Ok. Still feel like rping?
And the other night something happened that still kind of stuns me. I was rping with someone and told them I couldn't go on because someone i cared deeply about was having a borderline nervous breakdown and was talking about cutting themselves and calling the hospital to have themselves commited.
This person goes, and i quote. "Oh, well fix their problems, then we can continue". I just stared at what they had written, stunned and then i got a bit rude with them before ignoring them. Needless to say, the chances of me ever RPing with that person are slim to none.
So people, i know we are all RP addicts, but really, if push came to shove, we could all live without it for the simple fact IT IS JUST A GAME. hence RPG. Next time you are fired up for RP but one of your partners is having a not so good time, before you ask if they feel like RPing, ask if they would like to talk about, or hell, offer them a hug. It will make you a better friend and will ensure you don't lose both a friend and RP partner.
*climbs off soapbox*

Ayko-Chan That's very immiture of people to not think about other peoples feelings, but to only have fun. eek Isn't it just? Sadly, it's all too true. Fortunately, the ones who did it (at least to me) were all literally immature, not even being 20 yet. Most weren't even 18 yet. But still, even a 14 year old should have better manners. I attribute it more to selfishness, THEY felt like RPing so that was all that mattered. there! fixed it! happy xan!? WHY must you always point out my shortcoming!? domokun

And heck, I'm 14, and 'm pleased to say I do have better manners than that. *pouts* Some people are just so immature. heart Thankies LQ! *hugs* Hope your friend is ok...?

People who cannot determine the feelings of others suck and should be put down. If someone doesnt feel like continuing, then the other person or persons should respect that and not act like morons. My two cents has been added.
