MSC I don't think is illegal to have it here, just illegal to sell it, like it's illegal to sell ferrets and turtles here in Tennessee, but not illegal to own them as pets.
I think it has some chemical in it that's illegal in the states. Canada? I have no clue. sweatdrop And I call myself canadien.

O.T.How come selling turtles and ferrets are illegal in Tennesse? Like in Ottawa you can buy them in pet stores. Heh heh...I suppose it's like not being alloud to eat icecream on bank street on sunday, but you can the rest of the week.

Yes, the US just doesn't like arosol ((sp?)) products. I don't know why it's illegal to sell them, it just is. Like when I was eight I wanted a turtle as a pet and I went to every pet store and nobody had one and then somebody informed me that it was illegal, so I wanted a ferret and they said the same thing, so I just didn't get a pet because I didn't want a gerbil!

The only problem with ferrets are that they stink butt like guina pigs if you don't watch what they eat and clean them every once and awhile.

I understand that there are difficulties that make it harder for them to provide services to US customers, and I understand that they may be small companies, but it is a bad decision, from a business perspective, to favor one market over another. Right now they dont have much of a problem with it, and their pages are about equal in the amount of stuff they show, but a while ago the US page showed maybe 2/3 of what the japanese page had. For example, on the us page a while ago, there was NO supplies section, and most of the available items were out of stock all the time, whereas the japanese page had a full selection of supplies and tools and such, and was restocked fairly regularly.

Also, the bias does not stop at stores and companies, but it reaches out to the individual, for example some, maybe even most of the people that sell dolls and accesories on yahoo japan refuse to ship to american bidders, even though the bidder would pay for the shipping. Some even refuse bidding companies such as Rinkya and Celga. There is no reason for them to do this, as it really makes no difference in the cost to them, but still, it happens.

I don't think they are necessarily being biased... It's kind with everything. They release it in their country first and then try to establish it elsewhere. Yes they have more stuff on the japanese website, but do you realize all the work they have to put into maintaining two websites and translating. I think they are doing a really nice job thus far. I also believe that there will be alot more to come if BJDs become as popular in the us as in japan and korea. They are already taking the first step and putting a doll shop in LA! Give it time, they've come a long way already.
