Has anyone heard any rumors about possibly making either of these sets of books into movies? I think that DE Trilogy would be best. Animated, CG or Live action?

There is a rumor going around about the making of a Drizzt based movie.. but I havent heard any concrete yet.. nor seen any web sites that offer anything solid.

Still it would be interesting to see who and how they would pull it off. Cause you know its going to be another thing like Harry Potter where the books are so much better than the movies.

I think that goes pretty much without saying but I agree that it would be interesting. I still wish RA had not killed of Zak. And Jarlaxle! That scoundral and rouge! LOL

Arachnae I think that goes pretty much without saying but I agree that it would be interesting. I still wish RA had not killed of Zak. And Jarlaxle! That scoundrel and rouge! LOL Jaraxle died? was it in the new books? I haven't read past book 5 of the spider queen series.. though I've seen the new Jaraxle and Artimis books.

Nonononono... I am sorry you misunderstood. My poor grammer. He has not died to my knowledge. I think RA is having too much fun with him! hehe No... I meant I would like to see who would portray him and how they would fill his shoes.

Good luck with that. I cant think of anyone aside from maybe Johnny Deep who has the kind of ambiguous emotional range to play Jaraxle. Not to mention putting up with the make up.. hell it took the guy who played Nightcrawler 10+ hours for the scene where he was half dressed.. imagine the time it would take if everyone in the scene was similarly costumed?

I could see it happening, but I fear what the movie industry does to favourite books of mine. The makeup wouldn't be all that difficult; maybe three hours and a little more time for costuming. Creatures other than that could be computer generated; if puppeting or costumes for them aren't used.

Sorry but... you're right. They'll mess it up proper. It isn't the make-up I'm really worried about but what they'll do to the plots and such. They always feel they have to mess with the books! Iblith!
