You'd be better off playing the original games. I.E. RE0 and Remake of RE1 for GameCube.

i read the novel based off RE1 and i found it to be kinda rushed at the end but the other novels i was pretty happy with

The story went in all the other books. That's why you don't release 6 novels within the course of 2 years.

Just finished Code: Veronica on to Zero Hour now.
I'd really like to see S. D. Perry write a RE4 novel. It could possibly explain more about Krauser and his past with Leon. But I doubt she'll write it, otherwise it would already be out.
