Maggie used the short distraction to raise Sabriel's fur and check the skin. Again she foud blisters and a hot temperature
"I think it's Chicken Pox. Their bodies are reacting well"

Sabriel's head whipped around. He wasn't fast enough to catch Maggie, much to his frustration. For once, instead of settling down, he glared - staying tense, staying angry, and warbling abuse under his breath. Between being sick and this, he'd had it.
CHICKEN POX? Chin felt like crawling into a hole and dying, as much with how embarassingly obvious it was as to how painfully Gullien was going to kill her. Would it hurt babies? Sabe was a toddler - that was better - but...she'd personally had it when she was five or something, and got it bad then. Thylassa was just a baby!
"Are they going to be okay?" she asked, raising her voice above the toddler's griping.

Gullien swished her tail as she soothed Lassa. Chicken pox... chicken pox? What the hell was that? Some kind of a bird thing? Some kind of magical disease? She was going to kill Chin. "What is chicken pox?" she asked, voice overlapping with Chinchille's. "Is it dangerous? Is it contagious?" Good thing they didn't get out much, there was no way Lassa could have infected anyone else. Well... except for her, Mona and Polar. Shoot, she'd better go by the library.
Lassa grabbed at Gullien's hand. Scriiiiiitches. She was itchy and hot and wanted to go home, not be stuck in a little room with Sabriel.

Maggie went to the cupboard and started preparing a small potion, crushing some herbs and adding some other ingredients
"It's a disease very common in young children. Quite contagious but they only get it once. It often takes a week for the body to heal itself, but some cases can take a whole month or more, depending of the immunitary system. But that's very rare to occur"
She splited the sugary concotion into 2 seperate glasses and headed back to her patients
"But this should heal them in no time. A tea spoon now, after each meal and right before sleep and the itching should be gone by tomorrow morning, but the blisters will take a couple of days to disappear. And a soup spoon for each of you and any other who were in contact with them after dinner to prevent further spreading"

"Lassa first! Lassa first!" Sabriel could smell that horrible sugar in the medicine and didn't want anything to do with it. At the very least Lassa could suffer first! Chin kept him pinned with an arm while she reached for one of the glasses. Why would Thylassa care? She probably wanted to feel better, after all. "I'll do it if you want." she offered to Maggie, trying not to imply that she couldn't do her job. That wouldn't be a good misunderstanding.
The news the two Mishaps would be fine was reassuring, though the frantic note in Gullien's voice made her a bit nervous. Maybe, just maybe going for a visit hadn't been such a swell idea...

Gullien blinked, processing Maggie's words as she shoved Lassa forward for the medicine, only half an ear on Sabriel and Chin. Blisters? Further spreading?... BLISTERS? She really needed to read up on this. This did not sound like a happy or good disease at all. At least it was only in young children. That probably excluded Polar, Mona and herself. Lassa hadn't been near anyone else to spread it either. Damn...
Lassa squirmed unhappily as Gullien pushed her across the examining table towards Maggie and then nodded at the woman, holding out her arms. "Ee!" Me first! Don't make me hang around here with that jerk! She just wanted to go back HOME.
