King huffed unhappily at the mispronounciation of his name, though he did seem to soften a little, and craned his head to one side to peer down at Bergerac with one eye. The tyrannosaurus rumbled in amazement, with a pinch of confusion as he took in her aged features.
Rex beamed down at the little girl in his arm as she said out his, and King's names. "Close enough," the boy chuckled, bouncing her in his arms slightly before placing her carefully on his shoulder, so she may reach the basket.
"You seem to be able to understand me. Can you, Berg?" Rex spoke to Bergerac, calling her by a shortened name. Somehow he felt 'Bergac' wasn't what she had wanted to say, having noticed her expression and difficulty at pronouncing it. "Er... you don't mind me calling you that, do you?"
"Here, try dunking the ball in."

Bergerac giggled as she was lifted onto Rex's shoulder. Yay, so high! Rex was even taller than her dad was! Wheee! This was so fun! Holding out a small arm, she akwardly held the ball in one hand as she used the other to rest on Rex's head to keep her balance. It was wobbly up here!
"Ya," she responded. "Berg 'ood." Berg was a common nickname, after all. Lots of people called her that. But basket? Like toss the ball in? Didn't mke sense, but oh well.
Holding up the ball, she tried to toss it in the hoop-thing, making a small grunt of effort. Alas, it went wide and failed to make it. Ah well. Being up high on Rex's shoulder was interesting enough, anyways. She could see everything from here!

"Ooo! Close, but no go." Rex eyed the ball on the floor, wondering on whether to pick it up or not, and decided on the latter. Bergerac seemed happy enough on his shoulder, so Rex left her perched there, a hand on the girl to keep her from falling.
What to do now, what to do now... Rex frowned, thinking of something to keep Bergerac entertained. Something not too stressful though, he did not want to worsen the condition of his foot, and end up like the guy from the basketball manga his mother had been obsessing over. No, that would not do.
Just then, an idea came into mind. "Want to go on a tour around the outdoors, Berg?" He himself had not fully explored the area fully since the expansion itself, so why not?

"Oooh... to?" Bergerac tilted her head, seemingly intrigued by the tour. Of course, she wouldn't probably pay too much attention. She was up high on Rex's shoulder! She felt like she could see everything up here! She let out a happy giggle, clapping her hands. "Ya!"

"Okay~!" Rex gave Bergerac a little bounce, then... he'd have to pick up the ball now, wouldn't he? Bracing himself, Rex bent down carefully, teeth gritted, and retrieved the loveable bumpy orange ball before straightening up as carefully. Hah!
"Alright then, here we go!" Looking around him, Rex podered on where to start, before deciding on the race track. Hm, wonder if it's a go-kart track, or a sports car racing track. Ah well, he would find out later.
Next, the boy moved on to the rest of the sportive area, a walk through the ball-sport courts. Mmm... baseball, soccer field, smallified, veer to the right to badminton, volleyball, swimming pool...

((Argh! I'm so sorry for the delay! >_<))
Bergerac remained happily perched on Rex's shoulder, occasionally emitting babyish noises of interest when Rex showed her the things that looked fun or interesting. Ooh! Like that pool! It was big! And all that water!
However, their fun and exploring was at last interrupted by a smooth, yet obviously irritated voice. "Excuse me... but what exactly do you think you're doing with my daughter?"
Varlen stood by Rex's shoulder, glaring in a most irritable manner up at the Mishap who was carrying Bergerac. How he had appeared without any notice was of little mystery, at least to those who knew him. He was a mage after all, and mages worked in mysterious ways.
"Daa!" Bergerac cried in excitement, clapping her small hands. "Daa! Recks! Recks 'n' Ki...keen!" Happily she pointed out both Rex and King, introducing them to Varlen.

Rex jumped at the sudden voice, but nothing more. The boy was used to people appearing suddenly without warning, having spent more time in Criffelance Castle than the HQ since the last two months.
Looking down at a non-too friendly looking man, Rex's grin faded into a polite smile.
"Good day, sir. I was practicing b-ball there," the boy cocked his head towards the basketball court, "When your daughter - Berg appeared suddenly. She was," a pause, "Alone."
"So me and her played ball for a while, then went for a spin round the sports area."
Rex shrugged inwardly at the man's unfriendly look. Not his fault Berg was left alone in the first place. Dropping his basketball to the ground, the boy reached up towards Bergerac and gently brought her into his arms, grinning as she introduced him and his twin to Varlen.
