I'm going to go visit CU and CSU tomorrow with my dad tomorrow. Personally, I'd rather get into CU, but I "have" to apply to both. Oh well, it should be kind of fun visiting both...

I'll be visiting Aquinas College in Grand Rapids, MI sometime this summer. I dunno if I'll be able to go see Hollins University at all, until if and when I get accepted. rofl

I actually wouldn't be surprised if I didn't get accepted anywhere. Then again, I play French horn, what am I saying? I'll settle for a college if I really have to, but I would hope that I'm university material.
I want to visit UC @ Davis (It's near Sacramento, CA). My cousin is going there, California has always been "home" to me, I'd be near my grandparents and other family, and I want to go there. I could apply to Harvard and actually stand a chance. A family member was on the board there and donated money. Ivy League likes family connections and people that donate to them. I should just apply for laughs and laugh even harder if I got accepted. Kind of like Continential League! Dad said that he would laugh if I got accepted on French horn, since "I don't play it." Didn't believe me when I told him that I indeed made it in and had a good laugh about it when it finally sunk in. It was kind of funny...

=/ I wouldn't want to have a shot at being accepted somewhere because a family member donated money and was "on the team". They'd mostly accept you in hopes of more money coming their way. Colleges now days... It's all a business. A consumer service.
Besides... Bush only got into Yale because his daddy donated several builings and whatnot. Ivy Leagues are just full of rich kids with mediocre grades. =/

Well, I'm a middle class kid with sort of mediocre grades. Yes, they like money, but if you look at it realistically, a lot of people get accepted because they're smart. Something I don't really consider myself to be. I've checked the acceptance statistics for Brown. Either rich kids have gotten smart or they're accepting smart people, regardless of their financial background. neutral
If I remember correctly, he was a dermatologist. Must've been in Harvard Medical when he went to college. Lucky him. If I'm thinking of the right relative, he was Italian. Makes me wonder how good his English was at the time.
Some girl at my school got a scholarship to Yale for rowing last year. I mean seriously, what the hell, rowing?? She was a swimmer, not a...rower. rofl

surprised I didn't realize you guys don't find out where you get accepted to until so late!
We find out ours mostly around April-May... and if you're an exceptional student or something of that crap, you may get your acceptances as early as January....

I just became a high school senior. xd You can apply here as early as the end of summer or the beginning of fall. If you do that, you tend to get your acceptance or declined letters before the end of that year.
