Chapter 1
Bella was in her bed reading her book when she heard a knock at the door. She jumped and got out of bed.

It’s been raining outside for days in England. Especially in London. It was the 4th of June, 1817. Bella was almost 16, the year she could drive.

She was running down the stairs and, being her klutzy self, tripped over one. She picked her self p and ran to the door. It was Edward, her boyfriend. Edward wasn’t what you would call human.

“Hi Bella” Edward said

Bella walked over to Edward and gave him a peck on the cheek. “Hi” she giggled.

He walked into the house and gave her a passionate kiss. Even thought Edward was gentle with her when they kiss, Bella could tell. She realized what was happening and she broke it.

“Edward what are you doing here? You’re supposed to stay away from me. That was your plan” she said while crossing her arms.

“I see you’ve got the accent down” he laughed his soft, musical, laugh.

“What? Oh” Bella giggled.
“Again what are you doing here? You told me to never see you again. At least one of us is sticking to the word”

Edward stiffened out and his jaw clenched, he was now speaking through his teeth “I have stuck to my word. I haven’t seen you for…”

“A week and a half” Bella pointed out.

“I jus needed to see you Bella. I can’t stay away from you and you know that. I didn’t know what I was saying before when I told you not to see me again and you should move or I’ll move. I love you.”

As he said those last three words, Bella hole in her chest ached. It wasn’t this bad, until the time Edward left her and never came back. Did she know where this was going? Edward proposed to her before but will he do it again?

“Edward I can’t come back to Forks. It’s just too much to handle. With all that’s happened between: you and me, me and Charlie, me and all my friends at school, and that whole treaty thing. It’s like I’m no use there except for danger to come and get me. So if I stay here I won’t be in danger. It’s not like you want to change me anyway.”

“No I don’t want to change you. I had no choice to be changed, you do. So why are you making the choice to damn your soul for life? Not be any older and stay the age you are right now?”

“Sure I would love to stay the same age forever. But I wanted to be changed so I could be with you, but the circumstances seem to have changed”

“What do you mean? Just because you live out here doesn’t mean I have to break up with you? I can still come see you and stuff”

“Its not that I can’t see you, it’s that I won’t see you”

“Bella…” he said. A knock on the door appeared. It was bell’s older sister.

“Hey isie! Whoa! If I interrupted something, I’m sooooo leaving, don’t want to see hormonal kids getting intimate” she mumbled.

She went up to her room. When Bella heard the door slam they started again.

“Bella you know what my life be life if we weren’t together?”

“It would be like I never existed. Remember those words?”

“Yes but if we weren’t together you might as well not of met me” Edward said as he left and closed the door.

Chapter 2
As Edward left, Bella went back to her room. She closed the door and got back to her reading. She was half way done when she heard a rap at the window. It was Alice. Bella got up and unlocked the door and Alice hopped into her room.

Alice, unlike Edward, was very kind. She had wavy black hair, and her eyes glimmered like the moon. Of course she was just like Edward, a vampire. She can see the past, present, and future. Alice loved Bella very much.

“Hey Bella! I missed you!” Bella shrieked.

Alice ran over to Bella and gave her a hug “Alice what are you doing here? Does Edward know that you are here?”

“No. but I think about now he figured it out”

“Oh great” Bella groaned walking to the bed. Alice followed her “what’s the matter? Did Edward hurt you?”

“No he didn’t. I did. He wants me to go back to forks, but I can’t. After what happened…”

“We won’t let ANYTHING happen to you Bella, you know that” Alice assured her.

“I know Alice but you can admit that it could happen. Also what’s the point of going back if Edward doesn’t want me to spend the rest of his life with him?”

“You think he doesn’t care about you? He a wreck. A complete mess. He hasn’t done anything except be in is room and listen to gothic music about love tearing up your soul and stuff. It’s pretty depressing. Even for me”

Bella yawned “thanks for telling me that Alice but I think I might get some rest. I have a long day tomorrow”

Alice gave Bella a hug and left.
