xd Gee- that really cheers me up...

Don't worry, you'll be fine, what could possibly go wrong? you bring shame and disgrace on your family name for generations to come?

Something like that. blaugh

You totally reminded me of one of my friends there- it was actually kind of eerie. xd

Back to the main topic of the thread, I just bought Sidur Ohel Sarah, The Sarah's Tent Prayer Book, and am really looking forward to delving into it. I normally use the Artscroll Complete, but the Ohel Sarah came in a nice small version, with commentary, laws and customs, and special women's prayers. I'm so excited to get to spend some real time with this book. Now I just need to buy a book of tehillim, and I'll probably do that next month or the month after. Building a Jewish library is expensive and takes a long time, boy howdy, but I'm still just so excited to finally be getting started.

I'm getting an Artscroll siddur from a Borders that's nearby. I don't know if it's overpriced though (about $32), so I might do some shopping around.

Borders is pricey. Maybe check Amazon? I'm not overly impressed with their selection of Jewish related reads/materials, but you might find something to suit your needs that is atleast under 30 bucks. Don't quote me though.

Also try http://www.rosenblums.com -- that's right in my own town, and it's the largest Judaica store in the US Midwest. Great selection. My copy of Sidur Ohel Sarah was only $21. Admittedly I bought the small version, but it's large enough for what I need, and it fits in my purse for on-the-spot davening.

If you're coming to the JGG gathering next summer, and if you can wait that long, we'll make sure to take a trip to Rosenblum's and you can check out their selection.

Well, which variation? Is it the big one? the little one? the modest one?
