Hi, I'm back from camp and I found out that we're not allowed to do snipe hunts anymore crying It's because some girls got lost overnight during a snipe hunt so the 1st presidency said we couldn't do them anymore crying That has been a tradition for so many years crying crying

We always have leaders come with us and they are scatered through out the group making sure no one gets lost or runs off and of course that the girls turn off their flash lights when a snipe is spoted so it doesn't get scared away.

It was like poking into my stomach. But I eventually got off of it. razz ...the area smelled like really strong, really bad garlic bread.... it was really strange...

I've been told 2 things. Snake like things and small poisonous birds. But we never did it. We tried to scare one girl last year though. It was hilarious cause it was her second year but she still had no idea (it was stake camp the year before so we hadn't done it) I've never done it though.

hehe. Last year one of our leaders didn't know and she is deathly scared of any living thing that isn't a house hold pet and even some of those are iffy for her. So being the angels we are twisted we brought a snipe back to camp for her. She screamed so loud, it was hillarious it took a good hour to get her to calm down and really look at it.

Snipes down here in texas are small flightless birds that run around at night, making all the little twigs break in the forest, and that's their trail, you can only catch them with your pillowcase and toothpaste attracts them...but then they banned snipe hunts because the first years got too scared.
