It wasn't hard to imagine the looks on the faces of his various acquaintances when he simply waltzed into the door of the meeting place. The place he'd been introduced to all of them. It had been months since he'd been gone, and nothing good was bound to come of a sudden return... but these were the things that didn't turn out as planned. Hell, if he had PLANNED to be attacked by SHADE, he... well, he wouldn't have in the first place. But now he knew who these people were, and what they were after. And he knew his fathers were alive... if not WHERE they were. That was the problem. But back to the matter at hand. He didn't think that he had 'friends' anymore. If the people he'd shared conversations with even qualified. His only real friend right now was himself, as he hadn't seen anyone else with which to collaborate. 'Ji was busy, Kin and 'Rora had their own issues. It was up to him to make things right again, and slay his own demons.
... But he held a futile hope somewhere deep down in his heart, that people would care that he'd been gone.
Then again - it was, after all, a futile hope. He hadn't even known many people when he'd been around. Now that he was back, most of those people probably couldn't care less. But nonetheless.
He pushed open the door into the meeting place, and cast around with his eyes for somewhere to seat him, finding a couch of moderate size. The coyote slipped over to it, and sat, hands in his lap, and head down. He was tired, but he was also thinking. Thinking of everything he'd been through. If anyone DID happen to care what had happened to him.... what could he tell them? Anything? Nothing? It was a tough choice to make, but he'd have to cross that bridge when he came to it.

A cat teen sat a chair. It seem the headquarters had gotten a face lift. He was rocking back and forth in his chair and listening to his ipod. He lip synk to a song and had his eye closed. His tail flickered as he did and his large ears twitched. He often scratch behind his ear with his long claws. He really had not anything to do other the past month from getting back from Japan. Though he didn't talk about it because it would be too much of a shock to anyone, if anyone found out what he had did in Japan .

A voice pierces the air, a sonorous tenor -if such a thing exists- wafting through the aural waves in a manner that can only be described with one word.
Whiney.
"Do I gotta leave my tree? I just got the grass right and the sun is at it's perfect position for optimum shadow-coverage." Joaquin griped as he let himself be forcibly dragged by a smaller, younger teenaged Flerida.
The taloned girl frowned as she struggled to pull her adopted brother towards the meeting place. She didn't want to really bring Keen along, and it certainly wasn't because she liked the lazy bum. She had promised she'd show him around and she was going to keep her word.
"Yes, you haven't been here yet." She huffed from exhaustion. She knew of Keen's inhuman strength and was grateful he was too lazy to bother resisting. It was simply easier if he let her drag him around Hameln.
"But why?" Again the whine.
Flerida rolled her eyes, "Because unlike some people, I actually keep my promises."
They arrived at the meeting place, and both Flerida was surprised that it wasn't empty like all the other times she had visited in hopes of seeing Ravji again. Joaquin stared sleepily at the interior of the structure, smiling at the sight of comfortable looking furniture.
He could take a nap here instead.

Both of these faces Aekepi knew, but he'd not a clue what to say - if anything. He rose, and looked around at the two. Without so much as a hesitation, he backed up to the wall so that he could see the both of them, and spoke.
"Hello, Kinnara... Hello Flerida..."
Smiling at the both of them was one of the hardest things he'd ever done. He looked like a different boy than the two had known before. His eyes were sunken a touch more, he was thinner, and his eyes had the experience in them that the young shouldn't know. There was something older in his gaze - something that spoke to hardship.
"It's good to... see you again."

Kinnara took off his headphones and looked up at the coyote. He then smiled a bit and stood up. He was about 6'0" tall now; before when he was 13 he was only 5"4". He had a major growth spurt in the last couple of months. Kinnara place his hands in his pockets of his black pants and look at the coyote.
"Been a while. I was wondering where you had gone off to." said Kinnara swishing his tail. "So what have you been up to lately?" Kinnara then crossed his arms.

Aekepi took appraisal of the new change in Kinnara, and nodded appreciatively. It was a change for the better, as far as he was concerned, and he was fond of those type of changes. A smile worked its way across his lips, and his ear twitched as he answered.
"Here, there, nearly-dead. The usual."
The cocky answer was his way of dealing with how things had gone over the past months. His way of coping with the loss.
"You know, same ol' house burning down, fathers losing you, having to live in the woods and such."

"Sounds like an experience," he said crossing his arms and tilting a little bit to his side. "I've had my own proublems but I am slowing moving past them and trying to look for a brighter future even though I still have many test ahead of myself."

Aekepi nodded at that, and sighed, rubbing his left arm with his right hand.
"Sometimes, a brighter future is easier to look towards than achieve. I don't hold much hope for myself that things are going to - yanno - pan out."
His tail flicked quietly.
"I still don't even know if my fathers are alive or not. I'm hoping they are, that they got out alright."

Flerida recognized only one of the faces present, and to this Fable she gave a small, shy smile and waved. But the other one, the one who began a conversation with Aekepi without so much as acknowledging her or her adopted brother, Flerida couldn't recall ever meeting. Then again, she was never formally introduced to Kinnara when he was younger so she certainly couldn't be faulted for not recognizing him.
Seeing that their presence would be nothing more than an interruption to the discussion Aekepi and Kinnara were having, Flerida decided it was best that they leave.
Much to Joaquin's dismay, "What? We're leaving already? But we just got here?" he whined as the winged teen began to drag him away.
"You can go back to sleep under that tree you so love frequenting." Flerida promised, her talons digging into the ground as she struggled to pull the barely-clothed adult along.

Aekepi noticed Flerida leaving, and held up his finger to Kinnara.
"One moment. I have to say goodbye to someone, if she's leaving."
He ran over to where Flerida was, tail swishing lightly.
"You're not leaving so soon, are you? I did want to get the chance to speak with you... There's a lot I need to know, and you seem to be the one to talk to... "
He shuffled his footpaws.
"Not to mention I haven't seen you in almost literally forever. Wanted to get to know you better... If that's alright with you...."

Kinnara nodded and sat down. He was going to wait while Aeka talked to the Bird girl. He had yet to really meet her. He put back on his ipod and continued to listen it. He didn't want to over hear anything that might be private. His ears had become sharper as he had gotten older.

Flerida was surprised that someone would actually want to get to know her, apart from Ravji that is. She crimsoned lightly, her wings folding back tightly behind her. "I just thought you would have had a better conversation with the other boy if you two were alone." she stammered, a little embarrassed that she had interrupted them. She didn't mean to be a bother, especially not to someone she hardly knew.
Joaquin groaned, "Oh for crying out loud, make up your damn mind. Are we staying or leaving?" He practically yelled in exasperation. "You obviously need to get out of the house more and interact with things other than all those damn cats. We're staying."
Flerida opened her mouth to argue but Joaquin was not in the mood. He had been humoring her since that morning and he didn't feel like walking anymore. Without warning, or so much as blinking, he picked up Flerida and slung the winged girl over his shoulder. Much to the teen's dismay.
Turning to Aekepi, Joaquin introduced himself. "The name's Joaquin, call me Keen."
He barely flinched as Flerida struggled to free herself, "PUT ME DOWN!!!" she yelled, cheeks burning as her wings tried to unfurl.
Joaquin motioned to Aekepi to follow him as he placed the indignant Flerida directly beside Kinnara. "I'm going to nap, I don't care what you three do or talk about but I don't want to be woken up before I'm ready. Got that?" He said it more as a statement than a question.
Flerida only huffed and turned away in irritation. She felt Keen pat her head before he walked towards a couch and promptly took a nap on it. She turned to Aekepi and Kinnara, "I'm really sorry for all this." she apologized, wishing the floorboards would swallow her.

"Hey.... it's really not a problem. I mean, you didn't hurt us or our feelings or anything. It's been a really long time, as I said... What have you been up to?"
Aeka forced a smile, and tilted his head, gazing at Flerida. If he were at all into females OR males at this time, he would probably had thought her a little more than cute. But he wasn't, so he didn't. He just thought she looked cute - and nice.
"You look good." he said.
It was an innocent enough remark, too.
