Which company makes better pedals or distortion pedals? I need another distortion pedal to go along with my BOSS METAL ZONE. Something that is very low on distortion...

I have got a DigiTech RP350, and I wouldn't really brag about the distortion on it. If you've already got a distortion pedal, though, you can probably modify your amp model and what not to get a more..unique tone? In my opinion, I would not go with Digitech with what you're looking for. Check this thing out, I will guarentee your happiness with it. (It's the best amp modeler out there) If you're looking to do cheap, at-home recordings directly into your computer...that thing is also the key to killer tone. It's the PODxt...check it out. PODxt

Hm..
Well, if you're looking for some low gain, why not go with an overdrive? (Ex., Boss SD1, Ibanez TS7/TS9)
Oh, and true bypass is okay, but when there's too much of it, you lose a lot of the treble in your signal.

PODxtHaha, I got a Digitech RP80, and a PodXT Live. I think they share most of their counterparts' features, heh. The Pod's much more flexible to work with, but I like Digi's range of possibilities better, although their tones have a much more overprocessed feel (which is fine for my musical style, personally). Question about your 350 if ya don't mind... does it have an off switch? I really hate the 80 for that to turn it off, you gotta get down and unplug the power! stressed

I would say good things about the RP350, though. I've managed to get some good tones out of it. If you would like...if you decide to get one, I can share my good ones with you!

why not just get a overdrive pedal, and just boost your amps distortion...it sounds sooo much better IMO...and thats what 99.9% of pros do

Yeah, I have been considering it, since I'd like to "update" my RP80 to a better model, since I like what it can do but feel maybe kinda limited by the way its like, set up, haha. Still, probably won't happen for awhile, since there's a lot of other stuff I need to get first! xp But I'll hold ya to that to try your tones when I do get it eventually, lol. wink

I was looking at a $300 BOSS pedal, but then my grandpa got a DigiTech for me. It works fine for me because it is my first pedal and it still sounds better than the clean guitar(anything sounds better than the clean guitar).
