When one enters drop world, they appear under a ridge of rock on top of a cliff. The hill they are on is floating in a white void filled with other similar floating islands at different heights. Immediately below this first island there is another, larger one that has a cabin, some sort of temple-looking place, and a well on it. There is a road going between them, and it leads to the edge of the islet, where a ramp aims accross and upward slightly to the next island over, which has a small village. But aside from those two islands, all the others in the void seem completely devoid of civilization. The ones hanging overhead show that the undersides are studded in various gems and other shiney materials.
Together all the islets circled slowly around a spiraling grey, cloudy vortex. The motion causes a strong breeze and occasionally one of the lower islets crashes into another one slightly, but both islets then separate again, undamaged. Most of them are covered in grass, with a few trees here and there, and one or two even have small streams which, against all common sense, flow accross the void onto another islet, and flow only gradually down from islet to islet until they reach the lowest one, at which point it drops down into the mouth of the spiral.
