Yeah, I know, the game is old, but I just bought it and I'm so happy. whee
Discuss what you think about it.
Question: What happens if you have already started an ending, and then another one pops up? ex: I started the Azure Swallowtail ending, but then I must have triggered the Cake Contest ending and gave Katie the recipe and she wants me to get her the golden milk and egg. ><"

Oooh, I'm wanting Save the Homeland SO badly, but I'm saving up for the new game, Rune Factory: a Fantasy Harvest Moon. So I'm going to have to wait for Save the Homeland.
Sorry I can't help you about the endings...

I want Save the Homeland so badly, but since my brother is leaving for University, and taking the PS2, I found no point. But they sell it for 18.99 here. crying

That is true, you're not supposed to get married. [sadly :[ ] Though it's still fun. And some ending your get a kiss form Gwen, or Dia tells you she likes you, or my friend had the ending for the Harvest Goddess dress, and Gina said, "Jack... I... you..." And then she just says nevermind. xd

You can start almost all the endings, but you only need to pursue one. Then you can start a new game +, and follow a different one.

You can start all of them- it doesn't make a difference. Only, you'll just get to get one ending. Then you start over with you're house and livestock upgrades.

Wow, what a conincidence! I just got out that game and started playing it again the other day...
I think I got about six of the nine (?) endings before I left for college without the playstation 2. crying I always started the Cake Ending since that was the easiest one to do (in my opinion) so that I would have a back-up in case I couldn't finish the other endings in time. I think I was working on the Racing Ending when I had to stop playing. Initially I was really disappointed to learn that you couldn't get married, but after playing it I began to really enjoy it. My sister and I began to compete to see who could finish the endings faster, which made it even more fun for me. whee

That was the first Harvest Moon game I ever played. *sniff* I like the cast and graphics from that one. I was so thrilled when they came out with Magical Melody, because you could marry the cast from STH. And plus two of the girls have the same names as me and my little sister. How's that for coincidence? My mum's the champion of that game, and then she got my aunts addicted to it. Then my uncle started playing and wound up throwing fish at people, and my dad had trouble opening doors and got the lakes mixed up and missed some of the weasel ending. And then my two cousins started playing it . . . The game is awesome!!! Although it's really sad when you loose. Believe me. It's like, the biggest guilt trip.

This game was my favorite after Harvest Moon: 64.
I didn't care about the marriage, that's not why I play Harvest Moon anyway.

Save the Homeland is probably my favorite graphics wise but at times the storyline makes you feel a bit frustrated. My brother did something to my memory card so I lost all of my data and after that it was a bit hard to get back into again. I like that it gives you options on how you want to end the game but it's still confusing.
I was sad that you can't get married. Farming is fun but relationships just add a whole other spin to the game.
