I didn't give much thought to the newest pokemon game feature the WiFi connection thing until today so I read up online about getting a friend code downstairs in the pokemon center and about connecting to the Nintendo WFC and all that jazz.
However...
When I tried to connect so that i could get MY code I got this message...
No compatible access point in range.
Check your connection settings and try again.
(51099)
That was the message and I have been unable to make heads or tails of it! I have no connection bars so it wont work for me no matter what I do. I've beaten the champion and have the national dex... and I really want to trade over my favorite pokemon from other games/ battle it out with my other dorky friends but I cant firgure out whats wrong!

You need a wireless router or a wifi usb connector

For trading/battling with friends who happen to be right next to you, go upstairs in the Poke'mon center and go in the union room with them. For trading/battling with people anywhere, you need to go somewhere that has a wireless access point (Starbucks tend to have them, so do some libraries), and from the opening screen go to Nintendo WFC settings, pick any connection, have it search for an access point, and try to connect to whatever comes up. ^^
