I don't know if anyone here has been keeping up with the English Dubbing of Naruto at all, but I personally find the voice of Tsunade odd and not entirely fitting - compared to the Japanese voice. I [being the Narutard that I am] always thought that the woman who does the voice for Kurenai [also Major Kusanagi from Ghost in the Shell] whould fit more appropriately - Rather than a raspy "older" woman.

I like the Japanese version better too, but that's probably only because I heard it first. xP

Like, if I heard the English version first, then I would have liked that better. I dunno, it's just all a matter of getting used to it, I guess.

I said the EXACT same thing too. In the Japanese version, Tsunade has a strong powerful woman voice. Not a cute one. And In Ghost in the shell the Major has just that voice. Whenever they casted her for Kurenai, I could of chocked them. Becuase kurenai needs a strong voice, but that one was PERFECT for Tsunade. I dont know, I think they just messed up somewhat compared to what they should of. I mean, I dont hate it, But the Japanese version is more suitable.

Oh well, we can't win them all.

In the Japanese, her voice is much better. More mature, slightly 'wise', but not old. In the English... Well... It's just not special. The voice doesn't reflect Tsunade's persona.
