Avatar seems to be full of opposites-attract pairings. It goes well with the the show's theme of balance, though.

So, it's been what? A month since I made this thread? And I have yet to add any fanworks? Well, that has changed, because I have just added links to few fanfics and a fanart!
If anyone else knows of some good fanworks, please post a link here. I'll add it to the list.

rachaella22 So, what do you guys think's gonna happen with Taang in season three? I'm hoping they get some awesome fight scenes together, though Toph wasn't seen much in the trailer... Aang *takes* her hand to hold whee and that freaky dream he had about her eek Katara sunk into the ground once. Coincidence? Maybe.

For now, I'm pretty much neutral on Taang...It's cute in theory, but Aang is really deeply involved with Katara right now...
But I've noticed that Toph and Aang have something in common when it comes to romance;
Toph is crushing on Sokka, Sokka will end up with Suki. And Aang is in love with Katara, who quite possibly does not return his feelings(and who he's going to have to give up on to unlock the Avatar State anyway).
So, they do have common ground for something to possibly develop, and they are still young, so there is plenty of time for them, even after the war and the show is over.
So it may happen, but it might be very small, like a little hint at the end of the final episodes, after they've perhaps had some bonding and understanding time over Katara going with Zuko, and Sokka returning to Suki...It'll be like a little hint that something may become of it in the future after the show ends. It'd likely be smaller than Zutara, since Aang's been pursuing Katara for the entire series. It'd honestly feel a little odd if a real romance was actually realized at the end.
That's why I think it'll just be some sort of hint or semi-open ending that leaves the possibility for it. I actually had in mind that maybe at the end we'll get a little tiny glimpse of how things go right after the war is ended, like peace talks, Zuko assuming the throne and making changes to the FN, Katara and Sokka returning home(hopefully with Zuko along for the trip and to make peace and connect with the S. Water Tribe), and Perhaps Aang and Toph sticking around for all the peace talk and then taking a trip together back to see Toph's parents and possibly to the S Air temple to take a little breather While Katara and Zuko have fun together in the snow.
So, Taang sounds good, and it's the return of opposites attract, I'm just not sure if it will end up happening...and if it does, it'll be very subtle and leave more to our imagination.
No problem for us, right?

Ooh, I'd love a little peak into their lives after the war. Especially if it involves Zuko and Katara having fun in the snow. ^.^ Yay parka!Zuko and snowball fights!

I love Taang. I actually paired Aang with Toph because I already had Sokka and Suki, Zuko and Katara so I felt bad because they were the only two that I hadn't paired with someone. But over time I started to love them because they are closer in age range. And I think and he saw her in the Swamp for other reasons besides her teaching him earthbending. 3nodding
