I have. Some of it is B o r i n g, but some of it is very adventurous, some violent, some romantic, scary, you name it! If you just read it as a "book" instead of a "bible" it has some very interesting parts. I have read it both ways.... This post is not bashing the study of the Bible! Just saying it can be an engrossing book.

Yeah, I've never really considered reading the Bible as a book...I'm religious, so it's just there, you know? But then again, I haven't gotten past the fifth chapter of Genesis anyway, so...yes. I should probably read it sometime soon, though.

Hm, I'm Christian, but have never taken entirely to the Bible's saying. But that's because it was Written by man, thus under danger of the same possible corruption that can take the writer, and that it has been Re-written to many times to not have changed in some ways. And, honestly, the phrase, "Holy Trinity" Never actually existed in the Bible until a Pope threw it in there at some point in time(I forget the Exact year) xp

You're right Tiki! Just compare even the king james version with "The way" A translation from the 1970's that put it into modern language. Just that one translation changed massive amounts of meanings! And the bible has been re-written many, many times! But it is an interesting read, christian or not! mrgreen

I find the bible as a good read. It is pretty interesting at times, but then really boring in other places like who was the father of who for like four hundred years, if you don't know who the people are.

I like reading the Bible sometimes, but then again I'm biased because I'm Catholic biggrin Although I agree with saphira_eragon that the Bible can be boring sometimes unless you know where to look. I also agree with Tiki because man has written and rewritten it so many times that after a while they spell things wrong, or translate it wrong. Not to get all historical but back then, if the scribes made a mistake they would have to start on a brand new scroll and such, so after a while one mistake probably was overlooked because you didn't wanna keep rewriting. In particular though, I'd say that Revelations is probably the scariest book of the Bible, but thats me :] Its very interesting.

My favorite parts of the Bible are in the New Testament. Even if the Bible has become a bit biased over the years to suit other peoples purposes, the New Testament does still have some good thoughts. And I've read Revelations at least five times. rofl
