For a brief moment Dyanel glared, but then she stopped realizing that this boy was right. She drank the last of her coffee and waved her hand making the mug disappear. She looked at Marius in the eyes again with curiousity.
"So what makes you think you can't kill me?" she asked stretching out.

Marius looked away for a moment, he hadn't really thought about it. The moment she appeared before his eyes became the moment apart of him just wanted to serve her and be there when she needed her. There was no way for her to understand this at the moment, they had just met. Still something in her made his soul stir and it was stirring quickly than most of the things in his life before. He decided not to answer and looked away again.

Dyanel laughed quietly as she saw Marius' attention wander. She placed a hand on his and squeezed it.
"Why is it that it's always the male demons that forget we can read minds?" she asked getting up and moving her chair to her room.

Marius stopped and looked directly at Dyanel. He felt his face turning red that very moment. He closed up as many walls in his mind as he could, but knew with a royal like Dyanel would be difficult. He gulped the rest of his coffee down and stood up.
"I guess I better leave or at least find another place in this pagoda to stay. That is if I'm allowed to of course." he said nervously.

Dyanel came back in the room tying her hair up in a ribbon. She looked up at Marius and smiled brightly.
"I don't see why not, you obviously can't kill me, you would have done so already, even if you did, there are many creatures here who would gladly take you on for my death. Ethren treats me as a sister so it'd be wise if you just tell him some other story than you tried to kill me, but you can't and now we're friends." she stated with a grin.

Marius scratched the back of his ear nervously.
"Well, I bet you're right. But I really am sorry we had to meet that way. I've wished all my life to meet you much differently. I guess our free will always changes things." he said heading toward the door.

Dyanel followed him stopping her steps as he spoke of their free will. She looked up at him as he turned around to look at her.
"How had you expected to meet me Marius?" she asked slightly curious.

Marius smirked at her and put both his hands on the back of his neck.
"I guess you could say your corolation ceremony, but since it never happened things changed. I knew at the time before that you were a wanderer, you found your way here, you traveled, you did everything you could to be mortal as you could be. Yet when the time came, you still came back home. I just thought that's how it would be again, but then you gave Gabriel the reign and now we're a free people." he said. "I think it worked out better that way." he added with a smile.

Dyanel stared at him surprised that he knew so much about her even though it was the first time she had seen him.
"How so?" she asked taking a step closer to him.

Marius took a step closer to Dyanel also. He was smiling again and he took a breath to answer.
"Because you became what you wanted to be and for that, I admire you the most." he said leaning down and kissing her lightly on the lips.

Dyanel was a bit shocked that he had kissed her, but with the words he had just said, she couldn't help but return the kiss back.
