Okay, I like, never wear jewelry (aside from earrings, and they're usually simple). This is for many reasons, the biggest two being that I don't like things that might catch or be impractical, and that I'm allergic to almost all metal besides gold, surgical steel, and titanium.
HOWEVER. I've been kind of wanting to start wearing some. Mostly necklaces, especially really fanciful, elegant ones like this. Problem is, I have no clue where to look for jewelry online, let alone find some that isn't terribly overprices and that I could actually WEAR without having some horrible allergic reaction.
So, Penguins, I would love if you had any suggestions. Don't really worry on the price thing; I'd rather spend a lot on one really nice piece I could actually wear then get cheap ones I can't, but know that like... I can't afford real diamonds. XDDD So rhinestones, austrian crystals, etc etc are my friends. heart

If you take a look around at some of your local stores, you can actually find some nice jewelry if you look hard enough. I found some real cute necklaces that everyone likes. Maces, Sears, places like that.

Chinese malls 3nodding . They have such gorgeous stores in there. Check in a Chinese Mall if you like Chunky && Funky Jewllery.

You could always look for beaded/hemp jewlery (if that's your style/taste).
Something that doesn't involve any metal would work, and they're usually pretty cheap. xd
Or, go to any nice jewlery store and ask to see their (insert type of metal you're not allergic to here) pieces, and go from there.

Well there are really cute stores called: Icing's, and Claire's, they are normally found in strip malls, and normal shopping malls.
Inexpensive, cute, and fantastic.
Three words that we all love.

A.z.u.r.i.a Well there are really cute stores called: Icing's, and Claire's, they are normally found in strip malls, and normal shopping malls. Inexpensive, cute, and fantastic. Three words that we all love. <3 The problem with places like that is they're cheap because they use impure metals. Usually a mix of a whole lot of stuff she's allergic to.

At Claires it says on the tags what type of metals are in what jewelry. My Mother has the same problem with alergies. That is why she always goes to Claires.

I have a hard time wearing jewelry too. I'm allergic to metal. It's hard for me to find things that I can wear. I would love to be able to wear earrings but i can't find any that will work for my ears. I keep getting them infected and I can't even wear them for a shot amount of time like 5 minutes before they start hurting. well, it won't even matter anyways anymore. My holes have closed because of not wearing them for a long time. I can't get my ears re-peirced cause my mom said when I first got them peirced that if they close, I can't get them re-pierced. Oh, well. (I'm actually kinda happy they closed because the person who peirced my ears made them uneven. gonk )
Anyways, I get like necklaces that have plastic strings or ribbon strings. Or I make my own. you can find almost any kind of jewelry that are not made of metal. Lots of stores like Target and Walmart has jewelry like that. It's all pretty cheap too. Almost every necklace is under $10.00. Some things come with multiple things for under $5.00!!
Just keep your eyes out and you'll find some good jewelry that you can wear soon.
