It was too hot outside, Yukimi thought. Normally she didn't mind being out in the wilderness. There were, after all, plenty of springs to swim in, berries to eat, and parties to socialize with. But summer came, and drove her to the nearest place with shade, a fridge, and air conditioning: the mansion.
The door creaked open as she pushed her way inside. "Hello?" she called, somewhat timidly. She was sure she'd been there before... just not sure when, or how long ago. "Is anybody there?"

It was indeed too hot, thought Cat as he allowed himself to use his long tail as a make shift fan of sort. Not that he minded too much, after all, the snow feli was reclined against the door of the open fridge, the cool coming from it swirling around him. His large body (which wasn't really THAT large ... it was all just fluff and fur) was lazily leaned up, with his back against said door and the floor, a hind leg crossed quite languidly over his opposing knee.
Purring resounded from the pirate male, his eyes closed as he merely enjoyed the freezing cold that came from within the fridge; never mind the fact he was ruining the food inside by leaving the door open. He really didn't care (the fridge seemed to bloody well regenerate it's own food anyhow, so it wasn't like he was going to starve anyone), what with his pelt and the fact he was a SNOW feli, summer wasn't quite agreeing with him.
The sound of a voice drifted to his flopped ears right about then, and slowly, one perked in the air, slowly, lazily, "My, my, I even get company, huh?" the words were murmured under his breath, probably too low for anyone to hear, and despite the fact he didn't move from his comforting little spot, a single golden eye opened up to eye the entrance of the kitchen, "Someone, no one, does it matter?" the words were called out at the entering female, "So long you don't steal the fridge away from me, savvy, we'll be fine."

So there was someone there! Yukimi was relieved, but at the same time her anxiety went up a notch. Someone being there meant that she wouldn't be alone... but it also meant that she wouldn't be alone. That whoever was in the kitchen, warning her not to steal the fridge, was there first, and she would have to deal with him. Whether she wanted to or not.
Of course, there were other rooms in the mansion. But Yukimi felt that, since she had called out, the polite thing would be to go and introduce herself. Padding lightly over to the kitchen, she peeked the tip of her nose inside. It seemed clear, at least, so she took a couple more steps.
"Hello," she said again, her voice softening until it was just above a whisper. No, not now, she couldn't get stage fright now... but she did. "I- my n-name is Yukimi. It is a p-pleasure to meet you, sir." She trembled as she spoke, even though the fluffy Feli didn't look especially dangerous.

Still laying languidly against the door, he watched as a small female peered into the room; she reminded him of one of the feli he lived with... always skittish and nervous. It seemed to sooth a chuckle out of the pirate, whom smirked at Yuki, "Now, now, lass; ain't gonna bite yeh, now am I? Much rather bite me some nice mice..." another dry chuckle was released, his tail waving in the form of a fan before his one eye looked off towards the window, where the sun was shinning through, "Damn summer heat," his voice was raspy, even for a male, "Not quite pleasant for a snow feli, yah see... me pelt's too long for this s**t," a paw was waved in her direction before he smirked, a fang overlapping his lip, "Forgive me rudeness, eh, lassy? What's a pretty like yeh doin' 'round here? Shouldn't yeh be outside with the other watery ones? They seem to enjoy the pool out back, yah know."
Oh, he'd have given up one of his hind legs for fins right now, really; long pelt was all too great for winter, but every time summer came rolling along, Cat wanted to crawl into the fridge, turn into an ice cube and wait for Miss Lacia's time to return (even if it was just in spirit, the snow believed his dead mistress returned every winter to turn the earth white with snow), "I wouldn't blame yeh if yer tryin' to escape the heat, but really, there's no escape," the phrase was followed with a low almost sarcastic chuckle, his eye narrowing as he looked away, "No escape for any of us; time always catches up."
With that, he dug his paw into the fridge, pulled out a bottle of cool lemonade and a bottle of wine, tossing the earlier towards the female, "If yer into alcohol, yeh can get it yerself," he winked his only eye at her, lifting up the patch of red leather from his other one, revealing it to be silver.
