Just wondering if anyone here is into baby-wearing. I haven't seen any threads or read any posts regarding baby-wearers here, and was wondering if there are any in this guild.
I'm a baby-wearer. Currently using Moby Wraps, but have bought a used Mei Tai off of eBay and am just waiting for it to get here. I also have a Peanut Shell pouch carrier, but it's too big.. I'm trying to figure out how to either alter it or trade it in for a smaller one (I bought it secondhand, though, so I can't just send it to the company for a replacement or something).
I'd like to just alter it, but I haven't figured out how to do that either (don't see where I could cut and resew the fabric, and I don't have a sewing machine anyway, and don't feel confident in the security of my hand-sewing skills).

The only thing relevant to this that I have is a Baby Sling. I think it's great especially now that El's older I can carry her around on my hip hands free. I'm not into baby wearing though. I'm one of those mothers who liked to put my girls down every opporunity that I had. Don't get me wrong, I love snuggling with my girls and playing with them and holding them, but I personally couldn't stand the thought of having my children attatched to me all the time.
If you want to post some links to all these baby holders feel free.

crying The Joys of holding a baby! It makes ya wanna do the robot! cool
Anyways. I have been planning on doing that. I mean having my child attached to me where ever I go. the reason is that I have no car. And as much as I try to get a Driver License, there seems to result in a Conundrum.
No car if No Driver License To get a License you must have a Car Insured. But to get a car you must have a Driver License to Buy One. (Repeat from No Car if....)

And there are so many different types of slings! Which one to choose? I had a Maya Wrap but for me slings were not all that useful since I had twins. But I used it when one was fussy and the very rare times Alex had colic or a fit of the fussies. I could nurse him while walking the house and it calmed him down and not hurt my arms.

I wore my babies all the time! Especially the last - my 2 year old daughter broke her leg when my baby was 3 weeks old - so....the older was in the stroller, and the baby was one me wherever we went for quite awhile! It was quite a chore to go anywhere for awhile!
