Okay. I must admit. When I first joined this guild, I found it slightly disturbing that the members of Queen were referred to as "Bri", "Rog", and most of all, "Deaky" (I haven't noticed any strange names for Freddie, or I'd list them).
I was like, 'I'll never resort to that'. Yet, here I am not being able to watch one section of the Queen visual chronicles without going "Look! It's Rog's a** in a skirt! ROFLMAO!" or, more disturbing
"IT'S ICKLE DEAKY KINS!" Totally stole that from Harry Potter.
gonk
Is this a rite of passage among die hard female Queen fans?

Wow, pretty fast on those threads aren't we? ;D
Mmm, I guess why some fans (okay, most) refer to them as 'Bri' or 'Rog' is because... well, even the Queen members refer to themselves as such (there have been times where the delightful Mr. May has signed off as 'Bri' and called himself 'Dr. Bri' xp )
'Rog' is a lot more pronounceable than 'RMT' and it certainly is a lot more polite. Considering, that in British slang, to 'Roger' someone means to 'have sex' with a person wink And I wouldn't be surprised if he coined that term *gets head bashed in by Po' and Torey*
And Deaky... well. Damn, woman, how can you NOT call that little piece of adorableness something just as sickeningly sweet XD Plus, it rolls off the tongue nicely. <-- innuendo right there
Ugh, Harry Potter *dies* DX

Well, I'm pretty much against Harry Potter, so even the mere mention of his name or the author is enough to make my left eye twitch (unlike most people, I don't think HP is a masterpiece, neither do I think the author's writing mind-blowing).
Wow, better shut up before I get shot xp
And don't worry about being fast on threads, babe XD I was just playing around X3 We need a little more activity in here, so it's nice to see all these lovely threads pop up ♥

Well I happen to like HP (I used to hate it but it grew on me, I'll try to refrain from mentioning it in the future!), but hey, we all like different things.

Every once in a while for instance, you can catch Freddie in interviews slipping up and referring to Roger and Brian and "Rog" and "Bri". Deaky for that matter was a name bestowed upon John when he became involved in the band. And Blue Silver, I love Harry Potter. Let's be friends and take about ickle Deaky and ickle Ronnie. xd

Um I dont read Harry Potter, but I've seen the movies. And I want to be rich like J.K. Rowling! xd I think Freddie doesnt have a nickname because Freddie already sounds like one. Pluss it pretty much is, since its not even his real name any way. But I like the way My Freddie sounds. And didn't he get mad at Bri trying to give him the nickname of Freddie~kins? Or something like that?

Lol I'm not sure, but that would be a funny clip to watch, if such a clip existed. Can you imagine? Maybe Freddie would swear! Am I the only one who LOLs when he says "********"? rofl

♕ ... I'm going to love you forever, Memai. xd I'm against Harry Potter, too.
Imagine my surprise when I woke up and the post count jumped from 5279 to 5330.
Anyway, I'm not going to explain why we refer to them by their shortened names, since everyone already did. xd

I get caught every now and then with the kind of typical 'Fweddie'.. But yeah, I've got a weirder one as well. There's a small poster of Freddie from Live Aid on my wall, looking very...wet. I get comments about how "he's all gross and sweaty!"...so I have dubbed that poster 'SWEATY FREDDIE!' sweatdrop
