Prompt: You (the female anthro moonlit) sit high atop the mountain Cliffside where the group has once found an obstacle course. It hasn’t been entered since and has been a safe-haven for you through the winter. However, you have been increasingly lonely. The little inn at the bottom of the mountain looks so serene and you have been pondering a trip down the mountain to see for yourself. Wish a glance to the starry sky above you utter the childhood poem “Starlight, Starbright, first star I see tonight…”
As this RPer of this moonlit you need to tell me what it is you so wish for, and if you travel down the mountainside or choose to stay. Length of this RP must be more than 300 words, but its your choice to how long you really wish to make it. You may interact with your own existing Moonlits if you have any, or RP with someone else’s Moonlits with their permission (just PM me to notify me of this.) You have my permission to RP myself if you choose so, or RP yourselves in your human owner forms. Any questions, please post in main thread. Please remember NO POST EDITING. I will be watching.

RP Response= The crescent moon drifted lazily across the night sky and illuminated the cliff side with its pale light. With silver eyes fluttering opening and greeting yet another brilliant night before me, I sat up tentatively from where I lay on the bed of wild flowers I had collected to make the cave more like a cozy room than a dark hole in the mountainside and gazed about myself for a brief moment. “How long have I been asleep?” I asked, spotting a small caterpillar hurrying across the stone floor towards the wild flowers for a snack. When the caterpillar didn’t answer my question, I stuck my tongue out at it and swatted it away from my precious flowers. With a gentle flap of my wings, I was off and in the air and hovered in the air for a moment before gliding towards the mouth of the cave. Every day it seemed like it was getting harder and harder to leave the cave. Though winter had long since passed and the endless days of summer were upon the cliffs, I really had no desire to venture out of the cave to return to my many wonderings about the land. Although I wanted to continue on, I couldn’t really tear myself away from the place I had grown accustomed to; with its breath taking sights of the forest, obstacle course and inn below. Always being able to see the inn and at times, hearing the echoes of voices drifting on the wind to me had helped ease a strange emotion I had never felt before. I had never felt lonely in my solitude and though I could not put a paw on it, I knew that something was missing from my life. Perhaps I was just hungry for some lovely pickle ice cream; who knows… Without much thought I began to do small flips in the air until I was floating around in a circle at the mouth of the cave upside down; all the while still mulling over what was going on. What more could I really ask for here? The air was much cleaner in the mountains, there were a lot of birds that flocked to the obstacle course that I could chase and I had the freedom I wanted all of my life; freedom to do as I pleased without someone always watching my every step. I paused in m floating and flipped once more so I was right side up and floated out of the cave. With my gaze centered on the inn and forest, I sighed; placing my furry hand atop my heart. Yet, if I have everything I could ever ask for...why does my heart hurt so much when I gazed at that place? The shimmering brightness of the first star in the dark sky caught my attention and I stared up at it with mouth wide. “Oh lookie, there’s a shooting star!” I exclaimed, fluttering my wings and rising higher in the air before losing control and plopping onto the cold stone. Every night since winter had ended I wished for pickle ice cream and had not received a single bowl. Obviously it was silly to wish on the stars but as much as I knew I couldn’t trust them, I continued to wish on them anyways. They were always there for me even though they were so far away. It would be nice to have a star always beside me…
My eyes widen at the realization of what I would wish for and the excitement overwhelmed me. Shooting stars were much different from regular stars! They were ten times more powerful than normal stars so I know this time I will get my wish! Staring up at the trail of stars in amazement I quickly clasped my paws and fluttered my wings as I began to mumble under my breath the familiar little rhyme that would grant my wish. “Star light, star bright… first star I see tonight. I wish I may, I wish I might; have the wish I wish tonight….” I paused; pressing my clasped paws against my heart once more and took a deep breath. “I wish, more than pickle ice cream and ketchup cake for a star of my own-” Another shooting star whizzed past the cave entrance, this one closer than the other. It let out a whizzing, almost high pitched whistling sound and was the brightest purple I had ever seen. I had seen a lot of stars in my day but never one that was purple. Hopping up to my feet and trotting out of the cave, I nearly jumped back into the cave as another ‘shooting star’, this one a bright blue, shot up into the sky and followed the same path as the others.
“What in the world is going on?” I muttered to myself as I peered down into the obstacle course field and caught sight of a strangely dressed human with wild colored hair dancing around in the darkness of the obstacle course with a sparkler in her hand. Throughout the field she had scattered small cylinders that looked very much like candles with long wicks placed on sticks in the ground. Each time she lit one of the ‘wicks’, the candle would shoot up into the night sky and soar in the air for a moment but falling back towards the field very much like a shooting star. Silly human, I thought, shaking my head as I turned to head back towards the cave to take my place once more on my wild flowers. Just as I turned away and braced myself to glide back to the cave with my wings, a fake shooting star whizzed past my head, ricocheted off of a rock and went spiraling out of control straight at me. I let out a sharp yelp and shut my eyes, my wings quivering as I waited for the blow. Instead of the burning pain I knew was to come, I felt a warm body against me as I was tackled out of the way. I opened my eyes and came face to face with the human who had been dancing in the field. She smirked at me and sat up, running a hand through her oddly colored hair. “Whoa, that was really close…I didn’t think that rocket would come up here towards the cliffs but than again…” She eyed me curiously. “I didn’t think there would be a person up here either. Who are you?” “Who am I? I should be the one asking you that! Who are you and what are those… ‘things’?” I demanded, twitching my ears angrily. “Well those things were rockets that I made called shooting stars, corny name, I know. But I was getting them ready to celebrate a good friend of mine. Her birthday is coming up and oh I’m –.” She paused, her attention going to my ears. She reached out slowly and took a hold of one of my ears. “You look like you’re human but you got ears… I want a pair!” “Well you can’t have mine.” I shoved her off of me and stood hastily, brushing off my sparkling dress. “Aw, that’s a bummer. Your ears wouldn’t match my hair color anyways.” “But my ears are attached to my head… I don’t think it would be really easy taking them off of my head and putting on yours.” I stated with a curt nod. "Then you’re a moonlit?” She asked, tilting her head oddly in a habit that didn’t seem like humans really did. “At least I hope you are because if you aren’t, you are one furry human…” “No…well, yes am I moonlit or I was but not anymore…look, you still haven’t told me your name. Who are you?” I asked, skirting around the issue of my change from being a moonlit. “Who am I?” At my nod, she smirked and rose to feet as she dug into her pocket for another sparkler. When she found it, she withdrew it and began to fumble in her pockets for a lighter. “Well, I’m the one and only Starr.”
Starr? I stared at her as she cursed under her breath and struggled to light the sparkler with her neon colored lighter. A star of my very own; could it be this human? I groaned and slapped my paw against my head. You have got to be kidding… Starr glanced up from the sparkler once it had finally allowed itself to be lit and smiled brightly. Though I thought she was the weirdest human I had ever met, I returned her smile without thinking and felt almost comforted by it. She held the sparkler out and shook it gently as if she wanted me to take hold of it. Reaching out gingerly, I took hold of the sparkler and smiled tentatively as she turned and raced off towards the obstacle course again. She paused, almost stumbling on the rocks as she turned back to me. “Well, aren’t cha coming to help me set off the rest of these shooting stars?” She called to me as she turned and raced off towards the field. I stood there, frozen as I glanced back up at sky. Had my wish actually been granted? Smirking devilishly as I flapped my wings and glided over the rocks towards the field, I noticed the number of shooting stars that had not been set off. Maybe I was finally going to get my pickle ice cream after all…
