Jani liked Mignon's shoes a lot, but she was afraid she'd mess them up. Maybe she could get them in a big size, and wear them when she didn't fall over as much.
"Ware 'ehn 'igg?" Wear when big?
The blonde babe didn't have a problem with shoes, she just hadn't found the right kind. She hated those flimsy leather baby shoes, and they were the only ones at her house.

"It is probably better to wear shoes when you get bigger. Then you won't grow out of them so fast." She stared down at her own shoes, then snatched up a pair of black dress socks for Jani to wear.
"Now, can you think of anything else to get you, or should we see how it looks?"

Jani didn't have a jacket, not that she really cared, but if she didn't get one, Indu'd make her wear lots of layers... The babe scowled at the thought of sweltering clothes and looked around. She didn't really see anything.

Since she didn't seem to want anything else, Mignon lead her towards the dressing room.
"You're going to look so darling, Jani!" She gushed, grinning happily and dancing slightly. She couldn't help it. Most of her brain was wound around making herself and anyone around her look cute.

Darling? Jani wasn't sure she liked the idea as much as Mignon, but she was sure her friend wouldn't dress her in anything stupid. They entered the dressing room, and got some smiles by older patrons as Mignon put Jani in a stall. Of course, the little girl had absolutely no idea what to do now.

That was where Mignon took over. She scooped Jani up and dressed her in their choices, adding one of the pink, sparkly jeweled clips under the hat. She giggled at that, a little bit.
"There you go, Jani. What do you think?" She asked, turning the girl towards the mirror.

Jani blinked at herself in the mirror, she actually looked kinda... Cool. In a really odd, baby type a way. Like one who was dressed by an older sibling who actually cares about their baby sister having a social life, rather than a parent bent on embarassing them and making them look overly cute. Sjajan didn't mind cuteness, as long as it wasn't over done, and this seemed just right. Plus she liked her tie.
"Yup!"
She really didn't need to say more.

She nodded, pleased. "You've got good taste allready, Jani. That's super." Mignon surpressed a shudder at the thought of what she wore as a baby. Totally not her style now.
She re-dressed Jani in her origonal clothes and started for the counter. "Keep an eye out for anything else cool looking, Jani."

Jan grinned at the compliment. She was growing up with lots of older women in her family, and by watching them, she chose what she wanted to wear. Speaking of watching... She was looking for a had like the one Kumari had... She one somewhat like it on a low shelf and grabbed it happily; a black fedora with a green band. Also snagging something her mother thought was cute, black suspenders, Jani hurried to catch up with her friend.

"Mega-cool." Mignon said with a nod. She paid for the items, placing what change was left in the bag, and looked around.
"We should probably find that girl that brought you here." She frowned slightly, tapping her lower lip.
"Oh! I bought you a shiny clip, too. You probably don't like pink, but it's a gift from me to you." She smiled happily.

Jani knew that Neme was long gone, but she really didn't care, after all, someone else would be here to pick her up. Neme had a cell phone, even though Indu despised the things. In fact, she could see a familiar car outside the store...
Themis had the door of the truck open, sitting with her legs outside of the passenger side, her head in her palm as she waited with the radio on. Kumari had her back resting on Em's and was reading a book, sneakered feet sticking out the driver's seat window. The black haired and golden skinned teen really didn't mind waiting with Themis, the book she was reading was quite good. Em blew at her teal bangs, more out of habit then to get them off her face as she was blindfolded and couldn't see.
"EMARI!"
In her excitement, Jani strung both girl's nicknames together and pointed at the window. She loved her big cousin, Themis, and adored her girlfriend Kumari. Mignon was a lot like Ari and Jani knew they'd like each other.

Mignon scooped Jani up and carried her over to the truck. "Hullo!" She called, waving. "Jani and I are done shopping. I hope you are Jani's friends, and not someone she just randomly wants to go home with."

Kumari giggled and grabbed Sjajan, winking at Mignon.
"Yes, we're kidnappers! I've always wanted a little girl, but Emi always says no... You're a cutie. Come by the house sometime, okay?"
Themis nodded curtly before slamming shut the truck door and pulling the car away from the curb, Jani waved goodbye eagerly, her bags thrown on the seat.
