So in LKH's blog she says shes killed a major character and doesn't know if she's gonna make him dead for real or make it some trippy hallucination thing.
who do you think it is?
who do you hope it is?
who do pray it isn't?
I say, Anyone but Doyle crying It would so ruin it for me if it was Doyle. He's who I'm routing for as King...everyone else I'm fairly indifferent about
I think it'll be Frost or Rhys

I've not read a Merry book in awhile but, if memory serves, I hope it'll be that green dude.. Galen, is it?
But I hope it ain't Doyle. I like Doyle.
It'll prolly end up being that pixie dude, can't think of his name. The fey butterfly queen gave him to Merry and she accidently made him big and left him like that. With wings. There are two guys with wings, right? It'll be one of those two.

The other guy with wings is Niccah, but I think that his are back to being tatoos now, but I'm not sure

And I agree on the whole "don't kill Doyle" thing but I'd add Kitto to the don't kill list cause if he were dead then who would run her baths?

Galen almost died in the last book, so I don't think it's gonna be him...
Maybe Rhys, but it's been stated over and over that Merry doesn't love him as much as the others...so OF COURES it's not likeliy to be him since she doen't care about him as much xd it's Murphy's Law or something...
so I'm thinking Frost
I'd like it to be not real and not have anyone die, but it's been way to "perfect" for Marry not losing anyone yet. Marry can't protect everyone forever...so I think a death is inevitable. and if it's someone she cares about, I think it would be something that would make her evolve, be come more hard core and take her power up another notch.
right now I think she's a bit soft for being up to rule in the Dark Court...

I agree with the point that things have been going a little too perfect in the love department for Merry. I mean she seems to gain someone new in every book, not to say that all of the men described sound gorgeous but LKH has to do something to give her a slice of reality. Perhaps the fact that Cal is out of confinement now things will start to go down hill for her. My only thing about Frost dying (which is a rather logical choice) is that Merry might lose that soft side of her. Which in my opinion is one of the things that would make her a much better ruler than her aunt. I mean right now that court has become a thing of treachery and chaos (not to say that it's ever been any different) but as described in the books as time has gone by even the Unseelie court has been affected by humans. Making them cast out and undermine other creatures (like those butterfly things), something that has made the Unseelie court signifigantly weaker than the Seelie court. In my opinion it's Merry's softer nature that could change both courts for the better and help the sidhe regain even more of the power they've lost over time.
