Anyway.

The General Discussion (GD) has always been, as far as I have known, a pool of stupidity and discrimination. Most people there are stuck-up and feel that being witty and mean are the only ways that they will ever achieve their internet popularity. Despite the fact that no one outside of Gaia gives a damn if you are a prommie or if you are a nobody on this site. Internet popularity means s**t to reality. Actually, so does High School popularity. That's a whole different topic all together.

The people there, mostly the girls, are vain in nature. Usually these are the people that flaunt themselves in pictures, even going to lengths s such as writing short phrases and people's names on their chest. Somehow this has become the norm in GD; I believe that it just makes the said person look like an attention whore. Their 'culture' is made up of laughing at minorities, fat people, mentally ill, or anything that is remotely different from their beloved prommies. You are pretty much screwed if you are black, fat, and depressed.

Fat people? You are automatically labeled as ugly, even if you might be pretty, average, or cute. To them we are automatically this stereotype; we are lazy, obese, disorganized, dirty, unsocial, unhealthy people that diet is a mixture of fast food, chocolate, chips, and coke. Funny enough, most adults I know are thin and yet they suffer from high blood pressure, high cholesterol, diabetes, and so forth. My friends? The lovely peers that I get to deal with on a daily basis? Their diet is worse then mine---Chipotle, McDonald's, Kentucky Fried Chicken, chips, soda, coffee, etc. And yet here I am sitting in a corner eating my cheese sandwich, with the side of salad, and water that had had crystal light mixed in.

I exercise. I swim. I walk. I run. I play Wii Sport's Boxing.

They don't do anything unless you count shopping, or sobbing because they gained one pound.

There was a case one time where I ran into one of the prommies who are talking about her friend, who at one time used to be overweight. Until the said friend decided that it would be a wonderful idea to loose weight by starving herself at months at a time. Of course, the prommie didn't care and talked how it was okay because her friend wasn't fat anymore! Even thought anorexic is dangerous. We also got the posters who said it was okay to starve yourself because being thin was okay, that it worked for them, and they were still alive. I love to know that they are clueless about the fact they are screwing up their metabolism. Most likely they will start eating, and gain back more weight then they lost. Your body will freak out, and store the fat simply because it's not going to know the next time you decide to starve yourself to become a living skeleton.

LadyGlanSlam had a good point. They are nothing but fragile creatures that solely identify themselves by their weight, instead of other factors such as their personality, interests, dislikes, and so forth. But after awhile you realize that they have no real personality, no real brains, and no common sense. They traded that in to become sarcastic, bitchy creatures that act like clones of each other.

The prommies and their followers are, as stated by Headhunter, are ignorant, selfish, self-absorbed kids who will one day reach reality and have no damned clue what they can and can not do.
