Jolly Good Show
WE HAVE A WINNER! Congratulations to ThexCheshirexCat! You have successfully answered all the questions with the correct answer! Good job!

For those who are curious the answers are as follows:

Composer 1 is Cesar Cui.
Composer 2 is Irving Fine.
Composer 3 is Camille Saint-Saens.

Together, the the combined initials of their last names form ICF, which also stands for chronic fatigue syndrome. And which character in Alice in Wonderland has chronic fatigue syndrome other than the dormouse!

I hope you all enjoyed the contest, and hopefully we'll be able to have many more like it! Whoopee!

~Le Compositors Conteste~

First off, the prize: an Ace of Spades! That's right. The winner of this contest wins an entire Ace of Spades (link for information on what the item is), which will be theirs to do with what they wish. And now that I've gotten your attention, on to the contest.

Here I present to you three photographs of unnamed classical composers.

In order, going from left to right, I shall dub them Composer One, Composer Two, and Composer Three.

If the names of these composers were to be searched via Google using Google's Image Search tool, the following images would pop up on the first page of results, possibly more than one time. In other words, if you know the name, it'll be quite easy to find pictures of them.

So that's the task: find out who these composers are! And there's one more twist: the initials of the last names of Composer One, Two, and Three (in that order) are also the initials for a medical disorder which seems as if it might afflict one specific character in Alice in Wonderland. Which character is this?

The first guild member to PM Jolly Good Show with the names of these three composers, the name of the medical disorder that shares their initials, and the Alice character who seems most likely to be afflicted by that disorder, wins the prize!

Good luck, one and all. 4laugh

I've just descovered how many composers there were in the last 150 years. It's an irritatingly large amount. My eyes.... burning_eyes

Well, I can't figure it out. These mysterious men will have to remain so for me. 3nodding

Okay..

So, is this contest still going?

Or has anyone found the answer yet?

If not...

I'm pretty close to having the answer.

Congratulations to our winner, ThexCheshirexCat! If you're up to an interview, here are some questions!

-How does it feel to win the contest?
-What are you going to do with your prize?
-How long did it take you to solve the puzzle?
-What other contests do you plan on winning, now that you've won this one?
-Do you have any words of advice to young aspiring contest-winners?
-What sort of delicacies to you like to eat while sipping on your tea?

I was searching for the names forever and I couldn't find them. I even asked my mom. xd

I... just play violin and don't really know anything else about music. gonk whee

Psha...

I dont know enough about classical music to know some random composers.

However...

I do know my internet and search engines.

It took me like two days to find them.

I tried looking for disorders that fit Wonderland characters.

And I knew The Dormouse definately had a sleeping disorder...

So, that helped in knowing at least the last initial of the composers names.

After that... I matched what the pictures date looked like to the time the classical composer would have composed his music... Then I just looked through EVERY composer who had the correct initial for their last name that fit the disorder.

When I found one composer...

I knew I had the correct disorder.

And it was easier to find the other two composers.

Backwards is the only direction I know how to move!

Oh...

Well, there is zig-zagging.

But I dont consider that a direction.
