I love photo ops. What I love even more than photo ops are stock cars in the wild, getting ready for their photo op. Well, thanks to Scott Paper, I get my wish in a big way. I can't sleep because of it, I'm that excited. Ward Burton's Busch Series car, the #27 Kleenex Brand Ford Fusion, is going to be at my Sobeys store in Truro, Nova Scotia in about... well, a little under 8 hours. I work at 8 am local, it gets brought out of the hauler at 11 am. I'm pumped, because this will be the first time I get to see an actual Busch car. It's probably the car heading to Loudon. Why it's in Canada, I dunno, but it's here. It's a good plug for the Montreal race in August, to have a Busch car up here. The Car and the Papyrus Simulator (Justin's driving, and sucking hard)Best Photo I could get, considering the parking lot...Look at the pretty gauges... and oooo, ignition switch! *gropes*Lame Ward Burton standies next to the products on sale for that 3 hour stretchNo, seriously, is that wheel block safe right there? OH SNAP, IT'S COMING TOWARDS ME!

Pics are up. No, I wasn't allowed to get inside. Yes, I did help put the car back into the hauler. Yes, I owned the simulator, but the guy had it set on easy I think. Should I be lapping the field twice before 5 laps are done?
And I swear to you, that Mike guy driving the hauler looked a little bit like Jorge Goeters. (Jorge drives the car in Ward Burton's absence, including getting Busch Pole Award at Mexico.)

Damn. I wish I'd known about that or I'd have convinced my parents to let me drive 4 hours to see it.

That's awesome. It would have been cool if Ward were there. I always say he's my fave driver, even though he doesn't drive full time. My in-laws are into NASCAR too, but they're from MA and NJ. I'm a VA girl, born and raised, so every time he comes on TV, I have to "interpret" for them. lol

That's almost as good as when Jeff Gordon and Jimmie Johnson's Cup cars were in Sacramento, it was in 2001 though, we've also had Bill Elliott's car, Dale Earnhardt's car (the 3) and Jeff Gordon's car from 1998. Ah, memories.
