Swept your hand in an arcane manner? Please clarify.
Also, I would like to resist your attempt, so if you could change your post from my tentacles automatically getting damaged to describing your shield in greater length.

Also, your defenses spring up that fast? That's questionable, at best, especially while you are summoning your sword and, I think, trying to dispel.

Shield was up, and didn't damage your tentacle, merely belayed it. I'm going off of D&D rules here, but it takes less than six seconds to cast any of the spells I described, if you don't quicken them, and since I'm not reliant on armor, I'd like to state now, that all of my defensive spells, are to any effect, quickened. The dispel attempt comes after any of my other actions. As far as Bloodlust is concerned, I'm willing to drop that. The three actions may be a stretch.

No, but I am going to state that you are going to need, at the very least, to add a lot more descriptions or give it some posting charge to dispel a four turn charged as well as other energy in the bar, spell that has a good amount of description in it. At most, your attempt is going to do some light damage.
Also, your shield that is so powerfully delaying all these spells and innate abilities of my character was done in one sentence, along with two other actions including movement and the summoning of your sword. A quick shield at this level of power does not seem like mid-level magic, the exact kind of magic you stated to be within this characters powers.
In any case, you are going to have to retype the post.

I'm going to make a real quick observation that no-one here, yourself excluded, knows what's in store as far as fighting this fellow. And I'll state again that I've made no offensive attempt on you or yours. The tentacle split, it didn't ******** itself up in a royal manner. My shield has only belayed your sapping of my energy, a spell which I put up to do just that, and since you've made no other magical effect, I think the spell will do nicely. I'll retype my post, but I'm damn sure not going to sit down and take it in the eye, yeah?
And lastly, most of my spells aren't going to have peragraph-long descriptions behind them, this character has been casting for most of his life, and I personally don't see purpose in drawing out a post to say 'I cast magic missile.' Just my rping style.
