People have been joking around with the idea in a few threads, and i thought it would be really cool if they actually made one. So if they did, who would you like to see playing what character?
I haven't done a lot of research on this, but obviously that girl from Canada's Next Top Model would play Mai. If she dyed her hair back, that is 3nodding
Please provide pictures!
:edit: oh, jk then, my bad! looks like there is a movie in progress!! yay!

I know I'd hate it.
You can't condense Avatar like that. And I know Aang's tattoo would look horrible.
And... what about Sokka? His cartoon-ish-ness is what makes him awesome. gonk
But I'd watch it anyway.

Uh.. there most definitely is a movie in progress. M. Night Shyamalan is doing it. http://www.variety.com/article/VR1117956950.html?categoryid=13&cs=1We're not sure when it'll come out, whether or not it'll be for kids (though it probably will) or what the plot will be (it might not be Avatar as we know it.. it could end up being a prequel or sequel?), but it is in the works o.o

It IS in the works. M. Night Shyamalan or whoever is directing it. [proof]I'm looking forward to seeing who the actors will be. They're doing three movies, right? So, yeah, probably season 1, season 2, season 3. As far as that girl, Rebecca, from CNTM, playing Mai, I don't think so. While she is THE SPITTING IMAGE of Mai, they tried to do commercials last week, and she wasn't that great of an actress. Mind you, that's because she had to be all chirpy, and she wasn't a naturally chirpy person. Maybe with a more laid-back role of Mai, she'd do better. I'd watch it. xD I'd probably be shrieking at the screen half the time, but I'd watch it. Now I just have to get some friends to go with me... NONE of my friends like Avatar. I know ONE GUY who likes it, but he's my sister's boyfriend's friend who's 5 years older than me. OKAY, GUYS, THIS IS CRUCIAL. When it comes out, when you go to see the second movie, you MUST SCREAM, AT THE TOP OF YOUR LUNGS, "THAT'S NOT JOO DEE!" Okay? Okay? If you hear someone else doing it while you're in the theatre, meet up with them afterwards and have coffee, or something.

Oh no. You can't be ******** serious. M. Night Shyamalan is directing a kids movie?!?! That's horrible. It's bad enough that they're going to do it "Live action" but now, having a horror movie director writing it?!? o.0
Just here's an example of how creepy he is: [ American Express ad ]
But rest assured, I will scream that if they do a second one.

...That commercial is confusing to me. O_O Well, katachresis's source said they would be doing a trilogy, so I'm assuming that's one movie for each season. Quote: The filmmaker has inked a three-picture deal with Par's MTV Films and Nick Movies to adapt animated kiddie skein "Avatar: The Last Airbender" for the bigscreen. As far as M Night Shyamalan directing it... I have mixed feelings on it. I mean, on one hand, if it is serious, it's going to kill off half the fan base. On the other hand, I'll be MORE EXCITED to go see it if it's serious. It's like, "Hey, you've seen the series as a cartoon, now here's how it would go in real life!" I'm sure Mike and Bryan wouldn't let him do anything that would totally destroy the movie. They'll keep the humour and lightheartedness. Hoooopefully. Wouldn't it be hilarious if when you were watching it in theatres, when the Joo Dee 2.0 part came around, EVERYONE shouted, "That's not Joo Dee"? I would die laughing, honestly. It'd be like, "I HAVE FOUND MY PEOPLE!"
