Her sudden burst of laughter scared him. Miguel didn't know why she was laughing at him. He looked down at his paws, embarrassed. When the laughing suddenly stopped he looked up. But she was gone. Then he heard her call from the grass.
Chuckling to himself he started counting aloud. "One! Two... three..."

She pounced through the grass while subconsciously keeping an ear on how far he had gotten in his counting. Only after a short while did she realize that she had no clue how long he was going to count, only making her even more intent on finding some place to hide, and fast.
But where to hide in an area like this? It was all just tall... grass. Nowhere for a brown ulaya like her to hide. She skidded to a halt as she came upon a tiny clearing that was slightly muddy. As she heard him finish counting, she made up her mind, and jumped headfirst into the mud, blending in perfectly with her surroundings.

"Ten!" He shouted the last number louder than the rest, as a sign that he was finished counting. He glanced up. It took a moment for his eyes to adjust to the light again. He slowly sunk into the grass and began his search. She couldn't be far, and she would certainly have trouble hidding in the grass. This was going to be easy. Or so he thought.

Her big black eyes were wide in anticipation. Part of her wanted to bolt and keep running so he wouldn't see her, but the other part of her adviced her to stay put so he wouldn't be alerted to her hiding place.
However, as the other ulaya started getting closer to her hiding place, her heart started speeding up, and she let out a shrill, silent, wheezing sound, hardly registering the noise herself.
As she realized that she had possibly just given her location away, her eyes grew, if even possible, bigger, and she looked around frantically, trying to decide on what to do now.

Miguel wandered aimlessly through the grass. He wasn't quite sure where she could be. For a brown Ulaya she sure could hide. Then, just as he was about to give up, he heard something. It was quiet, but close. Directly in front of him, maybe three or four feet.
He slowed down his pace, and crouched down to stay hidden. It might be a better idea to around the sound and come from behind. He headed in a large circle, quietly sneaking around behind it.

Having otherwise been able to see the colorful male, Eve started to become more frantic as he escaped from her viewpoint. Afraid to turn around, as she was sure moving would give her away completely, she stayed in her place, pressed down in the mud, her breathing erratic.

Miguel slowly made his way around the area where he had heard the sound. When he finally made all the way around it. He slowly peered through the grass. Mud. Just mud. A large puddle of it lay before him. The puddle was mostly flat, save for a semi large area bulging on the other side.
He padded the mud with his paw, and looked at it. It's color was very simulator to the color of Eve's fur. Very.
Having decided it was best to move on and continue his search, he backed away from the puddle. As he did so, a bird flew out from the grass behind him. The noise startled Miguel and he yelped. He slipped on the edge of the mud, falling head first into it.

A loud rustle was heard nearby, and a big white bird flew from its resting place, startling Eve in the process. Jumping up with a loud yelp, she turned around, only to see Miguel falling headfirst towards her.
He landed on top of her, half of him in the mud, and she let out a loud "oomph!" struggling to get up again, she looked down at herself, and then glanced at Miguel. They were both completly cowered in mud. At first, only a tiny giggle escaped her lips, before it turned into a fullfledge laugh.
"I guess you found me!"

Miguel lay there stunned for a moment, slowly absorbing all that had just happened. After a long while he to burst into laughter. He slowly got to his feet.
"I guess I did!" He managed to breathe the words in between the laughter.

As her laughter slowly died, she once more took in their rather pathetic state. Although she didn't look much different, Miguel's black coat was covered in brown, dripping spots.
Unable to resist the temptation, she splashed a bit of mud at the male, and giggled as she managed to hit him right between the eyes.

Miguel was still chuckling lightly, when he was suddenly struck with mud. He looked over at Eve, a bit surprised at the sudden sneak attack. He attempted to wipe it away, but only managed to smear it and add more mud from his paw. Not his brightest of moments, indeed.
He laughed lightly, slightly embarrassed. Then splashed at bit of mud back. It was no use though, it still blended nicely into her fur.

Eve giggled at his pathetic attempt of wiping the mud off. She stepped daintly out of the mud, and shook her fur, sending a shower of mud towards anything within a few feets distance from her.
"Come!" she quibbed "I know I saw a stream somewhere nearby... we should wash the mud off before it dries" she padded a few steps before she turned and waited for the other ulaya, adding "Lord knows how hard it is to get mud out of your fur when its dried" as an afterthough.

Miguel wiggled his way slowly out of the mud. He attempted, and failed miserably, at trying to shake it off. The mud was caked on pretty good. A stream might be a good place to be right now. He looked up at Eve.
"Lead the way." He smiled. "Oh! By the way...." He quickly taged her. "Found you! Now you're it." He smiled brightly.

Eve blinked a few times in surprise. She had completely forgotten that they were playing tag. She cracked a smile and snickered "You sure did" before trotting off towards what she believed to be the location of the river.
"Where is it... where is it...?!" she mumbled at herself under her breath before finally yelling "AH! Here we is!". In front of them was a crystal-clear shallow stream. Small fish could be spotted here and there, and it trickled slightly.
She wasted no time in jumping straight into the river, scaring off several fish in the process. She laughed happily and started splashing about.
