Today, was my first day working at my new job. I was excited to make some money. This morning, a huge severe thunderstorm came. My city was having a festival, so downtown was packed. Before I left, the severe thunderstorm was just ending.
When I got to the bar and grill, my cousin was standing outside the door since she worked there. She told me the power was out, so I would end up doing nothing. I stood in front of the door for a while telling people they couldn't eat here. Boring.
A few people working at the place, my cousin, and I went to check out the damage. It was still raining, so I ended up getting soaked. A huge tree fell down and landed on people. There's a rumor someone died. Lots of tents selling things ended up in the river. I couldn't believe the damage.
We all went back, and hung out in the dark for about an hour. My boss got all of us together, and said we could go home. Three of us either walked or got a ride, so a hot guy with an expensive SUV gave us a ride home.
First day of this job sucked. I will stop ranting now. Have any of you ever had a job and something bad happened?

How I got Fired
One day I was having a really good day at work. I was a waitress at Chili's. Anyway, someone spilled something earlier and mopped it up but forgot the wet floor sign. I, of course, had the giggles because someone told me a joke. But I was taking an order of gingerale to someone and I had my notebook thing in my other hand. My boss all of a sudden yelled at me to shut up and stop giggling and I instantly was distracted and walked through the wet spot and slipped on my butt. My notebook hit some guy in the head and he was very angry. Then the gingerale spilled in a lady's lap and she was quite ticked off. I started to crack up laughing. My boss was having a bad day too. I was fired 15 minutes later.

I almost slipped and fell, but I caught my balance. Me and my co-workers had a good laugh for it, though. xD!
