Sun Charm
Strange that resembles the movie, Day after Tomorrow. I wonder if those people who made that article were inspired by it.
I have always wondered about the points made in that movie. It seemed so far fetched because of the magnitude of those storms.. but when I read articles about underwater ocean currents and their effect on climate... something like that could be possible. I mean if you ever watched the weather channel the vast majority of hurricanes and typhoons are formed on the currents. Its VERY rare for a hurricane to just develop out in the middle of the atlantic ocean where there isn't an ocean current... The current that runs down the pacific coast towards the south makes it extremely rare for such a storm to make landfall there.
Solar output does impact the weather... but I believe the currents have the greatest impact. Watch the radar and see how storm systems move across the United States... Most systems Dip down from the Washington State Area (thats right where one of the currents pushes towards before running down the coast) [I am trying to describe this as best as I can but its hard] the storm system moves across the land gradually weakening. Typically once a system reaches Central United States.. around the Texas Oklahoma Area those storms recieve a boost of warm moist air. from the Gulf Stream currents.. (why else would that area be called tornado alley if it wasn't the area where the storms recieve their greatest boost in power) that current also aids in propelling the storm the rest of the way off the United States in a North Eastish pattern where it is then Caught by North Atlantic Current and taken out to sea... I don't know if I am stating common knowledge here or not... I just waited to point out the impact of ocean currents..
Since a lot of ocean currents are dependent on salinity, if that balance was disrupted ocean currents would distort change and what not causing a change in climate.
I am not so sure on the whole global warming thing, and the relation of the Ozone layer... I havn't really read anything on it. But if trashing the planet causes temps to rise it would cause the ice caps to melt and it would ******** up the North Atlantic Current for sure...
Reguardless if Global Warming is a scam.. it pisses me off when people throw washers and driers off in the woods somewhere on a backroad, or throws their nasty diapers out on the highway. That kind of behavior is ******** ridiculous.
Global warming is a scam?
I don't think so.
I think "people" want you to believe that but People want you to believe alot of things, and you have to dig deep for any real information, ultimatly you have to put one and one together.
If global warming is a scam it's not such a bad thing, because first off we shouldn't be living like pigs, and if this scam is going to help us get away from that then more power to it.
Let's ********' scare the s**t out of people so that they can finally give a damn!
I really get rattled up on this subject of litering and polution and all the damn chemicals that go into our drinking water, into our home planet. It's really damn sad and I think that at the magnitude that we are doing this it is definatly affecting our evniroment. OF course there are natural causes for climate changes there always have been since the begining of time.
But the rate that we are causing this climate change or extream weather to happen is not likely normal. Our extinction and endagered animal list is growing and growing. Animals aren't being alowed to adapt, they are dying off. The frogs for crying out loud are going to go extinct due to one fact being that they can't reproduce since the chemicals in the water have actually chaged the sex alot of frogs to all be females.
Frogs are an important indicator species. They are the first to go when something is wrong with an enviroment. There is obiously something wrong, whatever you want to believe is the cause of this, the fact still remains that our enviroment is failing.
As far as ocean currents go, they do affect the climates of the regions, and if our ocean currents are gettin' all messed up because of the amount of freshwater going into the ocean, it will most definalty affect our weater.
Maybe it will be cold, maybe it will be hot.
Speaking of funky weather, here in TX, at least where I live it has been raining for weeks now. Porbably close to a month, it's been pouring like it never does here.
This should be our hottest time of the year and we are looking at 69 degrees F. That is crazy.
Ocean currents probably do not directly affect gobal warming, but they do affect it indirectly by changes in ocean circulation that can cause huge climate changes in certain regions, some may get colder, some hotter; but it doesn't neccesarly affect the global average temperature.
But to really understand this you must understand ocean currents and how they work and how everything is connected. The familiar lesson (at least for me)is of the fact that
