According to SuikoX, Suikoden V's True Rune is called the Sun Rune

well, viki and jeanne MAY have true runes themselves but maybe not true blinking and charm runes. true runes under different names perhaps...

It's been stated over and over again that Jeane does not have a True Rune and her agelessness is not associated with True Runes. My theory is that her agelessness comes from her being some supernatural being, like a succubus (makes sense does it not?). And I think its been stated at Suikox that there are also the Dawn and Dusk runes in SuikoV, although whether if they're both TR or not I'm not too sure about.

Cant' remember which source, but I've read that Jeane isn't the same person every game. The confirmed True Rune for Suiko5 is the Sun rune. It would stand to be logical that there's a True rune with the oppositee element.

Actually I remember suikox did mention that there will be at least 2 true runes appearing in Suiko5. The Sun rune and it's opposite.

and the Blinking Rune and Charm runes are NOT True runes. I've seen more than one charm rune in various places.
The Blinking Rune is a unique rune for Viki but that does not make it a true rune
(it's like the turtle rune in Suikoden 1....I have yet to see the turtle rune outside of Suikoden 1.....)
although I read somewhere a rumor/speculation that Viki has the Rune of Change-which exlains her constant teleporting accidentally everywhere...but that's unofficial info

In fact, Luc came with the most useless rune- the Pixie rune (which didn't even do so much as 10 damage when you first used him, so it wasn't even funny). So, it could be indeed possible that Viki's rune could be in fact, the True Rune version of the Blinking Rune or something along those lines. Only Konami can tell. biggrin

I sure hope the truth isn't that there is a whole family of look alike Jeane's... it reminds me too much of Pokemon... Some people have said that most True Runes contain dualities within itself, although though some TR looks like if it does not. Examples like Punishment, Soul Eater, Blue Moon have dualities within themselves. The Sun Rune probably represents Justice and Royalty, judging from what the Queen goes on about in the trailer, how she's the executer of justice and how dare they point their swords at her. Also, does anyone think its a possibility that the Blinking Rune is just a rune derieved from the Gate Rune? The Gate rune's power is to connect worlds, so its power its kind of like manipulating space, and the Blinking rune's power allows its user to teleport, which is a form of manipulating space don't you think??
