There was nothing fancy about this. Two men go into the pit, and possibly only one man may come out. This was the kind of fight you'd only see in the underground; no holds bars, anything goes, and there can only be one winner.

Ra'Fiig vs Shouyin
PostPosted: Mon Jun 18, 2007 1:20 am

A man entered the arena wearing nothing more than a torn tanktop and loose slacks. He wasn't a small man by any measure, being 6'4 and a little over 190lbs. His poofy tiger tail rest on the ground, hardly moving at all. The man clearly didn't have any control over the appendage; it was merely another target. Gripping a crude club in his right hand, he patted the weapon a few times in his left palm as he awaited his opponent.

He was ready to swing his big stick around and ******** someone up.

Why wait? Shouyin was already standing there, feet a little more than shoulder-width apart, torso leaned back and head cocked to the right, chin tilted up a little. He was barefoot, wearing a loose, heavyweight black karate gi with black belt about the waist, two stripes of golden yellow wrapped horizontally around the ends. On the back of the gi, matching the brand that lay underneath the thick material, was a golden yellow outline of the Wu-Tang eagle.

So there he was, smirking all smug-like, with thumbs hooked into the belt.

Get yo' head out the clouds, 'cause nobody knows yo' name.

I gotta stop drinking before fights.

The man began walking towards his opponent, lowering his club so the tip was adjacent to the ground. He had no idea who the Wu-Tang fairy was or of his endevours in Hevean or Hell. He didn't care, either.

"Ra'Fiig."

"Not hungry, sorry," Shouyin shrugged, stepping forward with his right foot and bringing his hands up. Feet were shoulder-width apart now, knees slightly bent with toes pointed to the left forty-five. His lead right toe and rear left heel were parallel with his centerline, keeping him all solid 'n s**t, even as he raised up onto the balls of his feet and started bobbing gently.

Left hand was opened loosely, hovering in front of his chin while the right hung out about a foot and a half ahead of the corresponding shoulder, in line with his armpit in the form of a slightly clenched fist. While Mr. Fiig might not be so concerned with such matters, the right arm looked almost like it was made of rock (mostly because it was). And that basically covered things. Bright green eyes shone amidst the specks of golden yellow that floated in his irises, short silvery grey hair swaying slightly with his movements.

Alliteration was key.

Ra'Fiig's walking advance changed into a running one, leading with his left arm bent in front of him. Since the pit was relatively small, it wouldn't take but a few moments to reach eachother. It was time to get this thing started; the tiger-man wasn't a fan of drawn-out discussion.

...and stone arm was definatly noted.

He would make the freebie opening attack. He brought his big stick up in a rotational arc poised to hit Shouyin on the left side of his head.

What the, a big stick!? Shouyin hadn't noticed that!

Eyes widening with surprise, the fighter instinctively ducked, bobbing and weaving to his left with a shift of the rear foot to the outside, widening his stance. Right hand brought in closer to the jaw, he leaned his lower upper body back somewhat in time with the weave. Then, closing his fist, he lashed out with a left straight punch for Ra'Fiig's right side, aiming for the floating ribs which were exposed during his attack. An extension of the more deeply bent rear leg would help power the blow.

If that succeeded, Shou would make a combo out of it, throwing his torso backwards and straightening back up as he popped his body counter-clockwise and threw a right hook punch for the man's gut, bringing the left hand back into guard position. Following that he'd take a step back with his right and circle off to his left, putting himself southeast to Ra if the man continued to face forwards.

After all, they were only just getting started-- he needed to feel the guy out.

~BIFF!

As the punch connected with his right side, the force caused his left to rotate forward. Which made it easier for...

~BAM!

...the stone arm to slam into his stomach. Ra'Fiig was knocked back slightly, that last hit catching him off gaurd. He torqued his right arm as he rotated to face his opponent, as if to punch the man in the stomach. He was now leading with his left. If Shouyin were to take a lower defensive stance against it the right arm, he would throw a quick jab with his left to belt Shou in the face.

If Shouyin didn't, or if the left jab connected, Ra'Fiig would throw a right hook towards the half golem's stomach.

As Fiig turned to face Shou, and they stood in front of one another with left legs forward, the half-golem caught a telltale movement in his opponent's right arm. He wasn't sure what the guy had planned, but he wasn't interested in getting hit with that hefty club either, and slid his left foot back, dropping his right arm down to his hip to act as a lower guard.

With that extra distance, he wasn't worried about what was coming, and simply expected some sort of opening in Ra's front torso, and as such brought his left leg up, stepping back in and throwing his left arm down as lashed out with a front kick with the ball of his foot to the man's lower chest or upper abdominals. Conveniently, this would land at the same time Ra jabbed in reaction to the half-golem's dropped arms. His torso would lean backwards during the Thai-style kick, further ensuring that he didn't take the unexpected jab.

Obviously, Ra'Fiig missed the jab as Shouyin backed out of the way. After recieving the painful kick to the chest, Ra'Fiig lunged forward. With an overhead arc, he poised to bring the big stick down on Shouyin's head with a one-handed verticle smash.

((Man, I'm already getting pounded on.))

Jack be nimble.

The problem with using such a big stick, was you couldn't really disguise the movements you made with it. And once you started moving, you couldn't really stop your own momentum until it was already too late. The extra power, at least against a trained unarmed man, was undermined by said man's ability to recognize and out manoeuvre the most dangerous, and as such the most obvious strikes with ease.

Jack be quick.

Shouyin stepped out forwards and to his left with his lead foot, putting his head to the right of Fiig's oncoming club as he swung it downwards. With exceptional speed, the half-golem would smack his left palm against the outside of his opponent's right forearm as it neared his shoulder, parrying it enough that he could loop his right arm around and grab the man's wrist from overtop.

He tugged Fiig's right arm downwards now, taking advantage of the man's own momentum to force him into leaning forwards as he brought the captured wrist past his right hip. He'd then throw his right leg forwards in a heavy knee for his foe's sternum, hoping to knock the wind out of him, or at least cause a worthwhile amount of pain as he dropped his leg back down again, and shifted into a left hook for the back of Fiig's head, aiming for the brain stem.

Jack put your ******** a** to sleep.

~BAM!

With a blow to the back of the head like that, anyone would have dropped stone cold. As tough as he was, Ra'Fiig was no exception. His body buckled like nobody's buisiness, smashing hard onto the arena ground. Needless to say, this brief round was over.

((I'll just go down now because I probably won't be around for a few days.))
