It's been a stressful few weeks. My car (a Buick) has been down for awhile, then Saew's (an Olds) died. So, right now, we've been borrowing a friend's car to get Saew back and forth to work for about 2 or 3 weeks now. Then, our washing machine (which we just bought from Colortyme at the beginning of the year) just stopped working 2 weeks ago.
So, I got a repair guy out here to look at the washer (we were smart and got the warranty on it). He didn't have the parts he needed and had to order them. Then, that night, last Wednesday, we got my car up to the shop. It died halfway there and we had to call a tow truck to come get us and take it the rest of the way. Joy.
Well, the mechanic we took our car to can't seem to find anything wrong with it. I've told him several times what it does, which is: when you're driving, after a few miles, it sputters like it's out of gas and just dies. And usually it takes letting it sit for quite awhile before it'll go again. Problem is, it's not doing it for him... though I'm wondering just how far he's test driving it. But our friend is getting really antsy to get his car back, and this mechanic (who said friend recommended) seem no closer to fixing ours!
But, at least, the repair guy for the washer came back yesterday and fixed it, so now we can have clean clothes again. Hey, it's a start! And right now, I'll take anything I can get.
