After much confused blinking and pondering on Leia's part (during which Teom had found a quarter and tried eating it), the young woman finally made up her mind. It was time for her to do something besides be confused. Sadly, the only other option that came into her head immediately was to panic. She resumed her pacing and even increased the speed of it a bit.

What did one do with small, apparently innately magical children??

You provided them with food, love, shelter, and the other necessities, came the rapid response from the maternal section of her brain. Leia paused, subconsciously reaching down and tugging the cord out of Miriam's hand. She took stock of what she had (a large, empty room suitable for children) and what she needed (the rest of the accouterments that go with said small beings).

She gazed down at the twins who stared back at her. Time to go where she disliked the most---the supermarket.

After a much longer trip than she would have liked, Leia (with the twin children who enjoy appearing from nowhere) returned home with several, several things, most of which clearly stated the dreaded words: "Some assembly required."

As she hauled the last box in, she noticed Teom was rubbing his eyes and that Miriam had fallen asleep on the floor. Sighing softly, she scooped up a child in each arm and carefully climbed the stairs to her room. She laid them down on the bed and tucked them in securely. A brief pause lead her to leave to door cracked open in case of any nap-mares.

She began to drag the boxes up to the sunniest room of the house so she could begin setting up a room for the twins. Much like the unpacking, there was a good deal of inventive swearing for this event as well. The only real difference is that it was done in a whisper so as not to disturb the sleeping children.

After two hours, Leia had finally gotten the beds set up, made, and ready. The toybox was prepared with a few small things and the room was tidy. She nodded to herself and went to check on the twins.
