i can only handle 3 in one household. 2 for the parents and 1 kid.
it's so hard to monitor what each other is doing.

I can handle eight easy if I turn off free will. I can handle up to four with it on.

I think I can handle any number, but when it gets up to 6-8 it's a little difficult to keep track of them all.

I can handle from 1-7 sims.

I once had 6 Sims (4 adults, 2 of them siblings, the other two husband and wife) and 2 children. That was about all I could handle sweatdrop
My average house is 4 sims big though..,

My average sim household is about 3 sims. A married couple, and a kid. That's normally my happy-place.
But i've taken on the task of a household with a single mother of six. So seven, all together. One adult, two teens, two children, and two toddlers. it's insane. But it's certainly interesting. Especially cramming them all into a 4 bedroom house.

Without the use of any cheats I can handle 3-4 Sims. With the help of cheats I can handle up to 12 at a time. All I use the cheats for is to keep my Sims in a good mood, so that they will do what they are supposed to do. Once I make them reach their goals they can do whatever they want.
I prefer adults, young adults, teens, and children. I don't like the baby Sims, because they do nothing but lay there in a crib. The only interactions are when their parents get them out to play with them or feed them. I do enjoy Toddlers, but their only flaw is that they don't become children fast enough. I am not sure about the Elder Sims, because I never made them, and since my game has glitched on my old computer, I haven't gotten a chance to get them.
Right now, after finding this out online, I have a teenager that is taking care of herself. I killed off her mother, and she is now on her own. So far she adopted a cat, and got made into a Witch.
