((sorry for the long time bwteen this and my last post...some personal problems came in between...=x))
Alesia slowly put her hand on the horses neck. She could feel this being was accustomed to being gentle with elves at all. "It's ok, Rothun. I can feel you're not too comfortable with me but I really mean no harm..." The friendly words and gentle touch of the elf seemed to calm the horse a little bit. Rothun was still uncomfortable, but far less than before. After a few more words in elvish and the gentle stroking of Rothuns manes Alesia turned to Finch again. "It seems Rothun trusts me enough to ride on his back. But there's still a bit of hesitation. It'll take a bit more time to truly become friends I guess." Alesia motioned to Finh to mount first. It would only make it easier for herself if an already trustworthy friend was sitting on his back first. "I suggest we mae our leave then. It'll be a long journey to reach civilization across these warm lands.

[No problem, it's not like people live on Gaia. That'd be so bad. >< I do hope everything's going alright for you though, I wish you well!]
Finch nods to her and makes a slight whistle through her teeth as she looks about the area, shuffling sand to be sure they left no trail of having stayed overnight. She also jogs over to the minotaur corpse and drags it over with a few grunts, attaching it to a back piece of the gypsy vanner's tan saddle. "That sounds like a capital plan miss, but be sure that you refer to Rothun as a lady like we are." The rogue gives a friendly chuckle before gripping the horn of the saddle and swinging her legs up into the saddle. She reaches a strong arm down to help Alesia get up behind her. Thankfully the saddle is big enough for two people. Then again, Rothun is a big horse. Clucking her tongue to the roof of her mouth the woman urges her bulky mare into a steady trot after the elf monk had a grip on her shoulders or waist. The air is quickly warming although it is still early morning. A pink-gray sky flourishes ahead as dark sand sifts beneath her mount's feathered hooves. Finch keeps a loose grip and leas forward slightly to keep balance with Rothun. "You should be welcome at my brother's tribe, they don't mind newcomers. Have you ridden horses before Alesia? Perhaps I can exchange the minotaur for one for a horse of your own. Be a nice friend for Rothun too, I'm sure." Now with her mare warmed up the rogue squeezes her heels to make Rothun gallop out of the sandy area and into the dry grass hills.

Once Alesia had also seated herself they began riding. Finch asked her some questions and she had to grin with one of them. "I've never ridden a horse no. It's kind of hard to notice were you're going at that speed when you're blind." She held on tight around Finch's waist as even though the rogue was probably a very adept rider, the monk was still a bit scared of the speed at which they were going. "This tribe of yours sounds like a nice group of people if they accept newcomers pretty quickly. Are most of the people there also human ? Or is it more like a group of nomads, living together ?" Alesia held on to her staff tightly, keeping it as lose to her body as possible so it wouldn't get caught behind something while they were riding.

The rogue chuckles softly with a nod, keeping Rothun at a steady pace. "Good point...the tribe itself is indeed a mixture of many beings, I believe even a few half orcs were there. Rather charming in my opinion. Elves also, but overall they're human in the tribes. I don't belong to a tribe directly although it is said my grandmother is of the Bear Tribe, I have come to visit my older brother in the Talon Tribe after years of separation, coming from Altal I'm more easy going than the Feldar folk." Finch scans the environment with distaste as it is still warm. She fares far better in cold climates. Perhaps she should pursue a vacation to the Fel mountains? Go on a short expedition to find the dwarves, learn something new and pester yet another family. Not out of ill will though. The nearest town is Waterford but that is too close to the loathsome Yip Tribe, beyond that is Suraly...she grunts softly to herself. It'd be a hassle to stop at a town on the way again. Food is easy to catch and they have all the time in the world to get back to the tribe. Well, perhaps some speed is in order in addition to the dead minotaur. Any rotting corpse never has an endearing scent, not even to the most starved of creatures or beings. After an hour of riding and dodging some lowly bandits and hounds, she slows Rothun at a stream. Waterford is at least another day's ride but she does not want her new companion to get saddle sore nor her mount to thirst. Helping the elven monk down from the wide saddle, Finch lets the mare wander to get a drink. She takes out a canteen and shakes it a little. "Want a drink?", the rogue holds it out to Alesia just in case and then questions her, "Not to be rude, but out of curiosity, how did you become blind and a monk at that?" Hearing some voices she looks over to a trade route not far off, seeing a caravan. Perhaps some looting was in order...but later. "Also, what's your favorite color? Trust me, it has importance for the very near future." Finch hopes her new traveling companion will only think her odd and not insane. Returning from a long drink the patched gypsy vanner mare lumbers over calmly, snuffling Alesia again with her ears perked. Noticing the caravan as well, Rothun burrs softly as though asking the rogue is she were needed for this too. Since they are further from the desert it is not so hot, but still warm nonetheless. The air is clear, a caravan awaits her eager claws...Finch's day so far could only escalate further if they happen to come across a tomb to raid.
[And there will be a tomb, which will elongate my posts to what they once were. I also promise to post in here more often, I keep forgetting to check COST. D: ]

Alesia grinned a bit after taking the waterskin from Finch and hearing all of her questions. For a person who'd probably rather travel alone she had a lot of questions to ask to a simple monk. Ok, she herself wasn't a "simple" monk by a long shot but it still felt a bit weird to be bombarded with questions.
"Lets see, were to start. I guess I'll start with the color as it's the fastest one to answer." The monk gave it a few seconds thought as she hadn't seen or used any of the colors since she left the arcane university. "I think it was the color red. Well, when I sill had vision. Just like my outfit as you can probably see." Alesia sat down on the ground and took a sip from her water. "As for the other question. I used to study at an academy for magic. They didn't, however, like it when I left. So they cursed me with blindness for the rest of my life." The woman seemed to think for a moment before continuing. "I finally found someone that could not cure the curse, but at least ease the burden. Hence me being able to still move around without bumping into everything. After that I found a monastery that accepted me for training and guidance. Once my training was completed, I left and started traveling around the word. But you said you were from Altal. I'm from the same area as you then. So could we also visit the monastery I trained at ? I'd like to meet them again after almost a year of being on the road." She paused briefly and grinned. "I can also tell you the long version in more detail but we're probably in too much of a hurry for that."
Alesia stood up again and turned to stroke Rothun across his manes. "Apparently Rothun has also returned. Shall we continue or would you like to stay a bit longer here ?"

She blushes, not having given thought to Alesia's blindness when requesting her favorite color. Slowly shaking her head at Rothun she lets the mare know that ravaging the caravan will not be an option. No sense enjoying treasures or silks if you cannot see it. The color could later come in use though. Finch finds the elf monk's story interesting, she didn't know of any academies herself since she was taught only basic things by her mother, or some of the farmhands with enormous amounts of time. In her heart she feels slightly angry that anyone would rob another of their sight, simply for them leaving on their own behalf. Upon hearing that Alesia is also form Altal and wishes to visit an old monastery, Finch chews on the soft inner flesh of her bottom lip. The rogue is like most other rogues in the non-religious department and find it a waste of time. She is not rude to the opposite or biased of them though. Regaining her composure a faint snicker is released. "The short version was just fine, you must have a strong will to have not broken under all of that. As for you monastery...that'll be fine to visit. After I drop off the minotaur of course. And I do believe we should move on again...", the curvy woman kisses Rothun's nose and mounts the horse, pulling the monk up behind her, "When the time comes I hope you can give me directions to it in case you can remember any city it might've been near?" Finch realizes that it has been awhile since she had ever talked with another female. Most of her friends were male, other females had scorned her for being so rough and hearty. Giving a sidelong, wistful glance at the rumbling caravan before urging Rothun into a strong walk to warm up and continue the journey.
