Originally a two man band centered around "******** up Mad Max" (Max Varnier) from France and "The Doommonger" (Daniel Vaross) from Germany. Extreme suicidal, misanthropic and ******** up Doom in the vein of Thergothon. Consisting of just two members, a true underground/cult act that until 2004 only saw their work released on tape and very limited vinyl. They made some of the most extreme Doom ever and will definitely appeal to fans of aforementioned Thergothon, as well as Skepticism, early Unholy, Esoteric and other extreme acts. The band disbanded after vocalist Mad Max killed himself by jumping off a bridge. But in 2004 Worship started to show signs of life again with the only remaining member Doommonger blowing new life into the band.
Worship are my fav. Funeral Doom band. Their Last CD Before Doomsday is a must have for anyone interested in Funeral Doom.
