Frowning a little bit, Edward felt more than a little bad when he saw Atae's downcast expression. However, Bryna suddenly changed that and he was in shock. Golden eyes wide and his face quickly turning red in embarassment. "Its not like that!" he insisted a bit too loudly. The teen dipping his head and allowing his bangs to cover his embarassed features. Ugh.
"I just kissed her, okay?" he muttered, somewhat hoping they hadn't heard him. Of course... that's not -all- that happened.. but well.

((Oh boy... this was... unexpected.))
Atae was very still for a moment, suddenly and very irrationally feeling left out. "First that Envy-spawn was climbing all over Terasu and he only moved to get away after I showed up and now you're going around kissing Lily?! AAAAAHHHH."
Even Bryna, or perhaps especially Bryna, was taken aback. "Atae-chan doesn't have to yell! If you want snuggles so badly why don't you just ask your friends first before other people do?" ...She didn't get it, did she?
Atae flopped down and covered her face with the book. "I don't know... I don't know! I finally find you two again and I'm still getting left behind... Everyone leaves me behind..." She sighed from under the pages. "Sorry... I just feel... sorta useless lately, I guess. I can't defend myself or my friends, I can't help you with your problems, no one ever talks to me, and I'm just... always a tag-along."
She sat up, smiling apologetically. "Anyway... geez. You and End are after Lily and I'm being bipolar. ...That can't be helping. Maybe I'm just stir-crazy... but I can't go for a hike right now either." Blah. Just... blah. "Sorry again..."
Rationalizing her feelings off as being caused by something simple like being stuck in bed for too long so her friend wouldn't have to worry about her so much was definitely something she'd picked up from Endless. She just wasn't used to having feelings she felt needed bottling up so she wasn't very good at it yet.

Bryna wasn't the only one taken aback, the alchemist nearly reeling backward in shock at Atae's reaction, eyes very wide.
However his first verbal reaction was to what she said about Terasu, "WHAT?!" His jaw dropping. He wasn't sure what to think about that! He was... appalled to say the least! Did she mean that Envy's hellspawn was all over him and he -LIKED- it?! No wonder he had clammed up! Oh yes.. Edward would be hunting him down.
He then held up his paws as Atae went all manic on him. "Its not like that! It has nothing to do with you!" ... Okay maybe that wasn't the best phrasing, considering she was feeling left out. He mentally kicked himself. "What I mean is.. you don't need to be sorry. Its just that... that.." Okay, so he wasn't exactly good at this. He didn't know what to tell her! Leave it to a guy to be so unsure about what he felt and what to do.

Atae grimaced. "Don't worry about it Ed... like I said... I'm just stir crazy, and I guess it's just weird... hearing about things like that. I... need something to do with myself." She held up the book, smiling hopefully.
So she decided to elaborate on what she'd said about Terasu... considering Ed's reaction. "Well, she was... making the moves on him. I don't really know that he wanted her to be doing it, or anything, but he didn't move until I showed up, so I guess I startled him. I just don't know why I startled him..."
It was so much safer to talk about someone else. And Bryna had gone back to "reading", so maybe she'd let things lay for now...

Sounds like he was wanting her to do it... or atleast Edward thought so. Then he only moved when he got 'caught'. Heh. The alchemist just stared at Atae for several moments. He then sighed and just rolled his shoulders, he would just have to ask Terasu himself.
Suddenly, he remembered what he was going to do before the two girls came. "Oh... I need to... talk to someone" he said softly, and he wanted to do it as soon as possible. "You guys can hang out here until I come back... or not." He didn't want to just shove them out or anything. Getting up, he headed to the door.

Atae motioned Brya over. "Hold my book on the way back?"
The kit floated over, pondered a moment, and flipped over before accepting the tome and started drifting around with it upside down.
Taking a stab in the dark as she passed Ed by as quickly as she was able, Atae called out, "Have fun talking to Lily!" Then she beelined for home, Bryna close behind, to go read the first steps of alchemy. The situation with the three of them was way over her head... so she was going to try to stay out of it.

Edward opened his mouth, ready to protest Atae's words as she zipped by. But she was nearly gone, and it wasn't worth it so he just shut his mouth again. Oy. Besides.. it was true, wasn't it? Yes... he was going to talk with Lili... and follow the advice that Setsumi had given him. He would be lying if he said he wasn't atleast a little nervous. Sighing a bit, he made his way outside.
